What languages do you learn in a CS degree?
>>54594140
Python. ;3
Java, C, C++, assembly, haskell, lisp,...
LOGO
the entire major is just learning about abstract data fuckery
you literally have entire books with pictures of 'data structures' that you have to memorize
it's completely retarded
What's the best way to stream a desktop to a single other person at a decent framerate (30) with minimal latency? I have a friend who enjoys watching me play games who's moved some distance away and I want to create as best an imitation of him being here as I can.
>>54594114
twitch
>>54594114
if you want minimal latency ( ~2 seconds or lower)
private rtmp server, sending video over websockets
or some shit like teamviewer
>>54594114

there is none yet.
unless you count people with degrees who lean left politically
anything that is out already is clever programming
just tricks and gimmicks to fool the stupid humans
true AI would be classified as a monster, unless most of it's development is focused on hardwiring some form of moral compass and high valuation of human life.
I'm a php dev.
My company wants me to use the gmail api to make a script that updates everyone's signature every x mins.
I have a service account.
I cannot for the life of me figure this out... I've tried reading the shitty online documentation ut none of it works or it's deprecated / the instructions don't matchs whats really available.
PLs sum1 help. Leave a Bitcoin if you do give any helpful suggestions or how tos.

I'm also a PHP dev. Was my first language, and it's what I'm the most masterful at.
It's however, time to come to terms with the fact that PHP is no longer relevant for today's needs. I will pick up something like Python, or maybe learn the MEAN stack.
It's sad, but PHP is at it's end.
I don't know what service account is.
If Google has API for changing signature use that.
If it has not, use your "service" account to log in to Google and change that shit manually using GET/POST requests.
You should probably use Python with Requests module
>>54593760
Thanks for the reply. But I think it's still got a lot of life, not that it should, but it does because business changes infrastructure very slowly. I too am learning the MEAN stack. Mostly just like Nodejs for it tho, mongo's eh idm mysql.

How can Android phones compete?
>>54593566
Looks like an Android phone at the top of that list to me OP. I guess Android doesn't need to compete when it's already winning.

Why can you not buy just "Downloads" of movies, like you can with songs or games?
I actually would buy movies if you could just buy legal MKVs without DRM bullshit but I don't have a blu ray player and I'm refusing to get one, when I have a laptop that's 100x more powerful and has 10x more space than a blu ray.
but the only legal options are
>blu ray, requiring expensive proprietary bullshit player, that you can't even use on some monitors and have to get a TV, if the blu ray breaks, you're fucked and...

Well stealing is wrong regardless of how efficient and fast it got.
But yea you have a good point - I would also buy just downloads of movies - and hopefully that would be at least cheaper than the physical blu-ray disk
>>54593531
The industry doesn't want to change, that would cost too much money. The more control they have over you the better for them.
I'll never feel guilty about pirating things, especially since they fuck over Australians extra hard.

Guys in tech support all know the common remote support programs like Goto assist, Logmein, Teamviewer, Supremo..
We're using Teamviewer at our company but the problem is that licensing costs are getting out of hand. We just need 4 channels, a host edition (automatic starting remote support) and a list of host computers.
Any suggestions?
Webex or Citrix may be cheaper
Why don't remote support people use RDP built in windows?
I have always wondered.

How do you use social media to promote your website?
The old fashioned way was to post on forums about random shit and include a link in your signature, but how does that apply to sites like pinterest, instagram, tumblr, and whatever the hell snapchat is?
You pay for ads

Have you made sure you're using sane software to get the temperature? All bulldozer derivatives use an unconventional thermal sense or, something the software doesn't pick up on.
When you'll learn how cooling works
Is this generation going to be another Athlon vs Pentium, but this time for gpus?
AMD going for efficiency/performance while Nvidia goes for high clocks like netburst back then.
Will gtx 1080s be sold in bundles with fire extinguishers?

I plan on upgrading from my 4th gen i5 and GTX970 to all AMD (Zen CPU and Polaris 11 GPU)
Only thing is I won't get it unless they can put the highest end Zen next to the 6th gen i7 and it has better single and multicore performance. As well as if the Polaris 11 GPU that costs about $400-$500 is better then the 980 (non ti).
All I know is I showed my wife a few articles on the upcoming 490/490x and she got honest to god moist.
So we'll be getting rid of our nvidea cards soon.
