Why is their code so bad?
they use ``functional" code in non-functional languages like java, javascript, etc.
>>54681287
There's more to functional programming than currying

Did you remember to apply thermal paste and that cpu fan is properly installed?
What the fuck is with all the anti-Stallman threads lately? Are we being raided by pajeet shills from Microsoft?
>>54680752
Most likely "intelligence" agencies who don't like software free (tm) of spyware.
>>54680776
They probably love free software. The NSA has way more resources to dumb into spying on you than a bunch of neckbeards can dump into protecting themselves from being spied on. Attempting to defend your privacy sends a red flag to the NSA to monitor you more closely. Given /g/'s views on CP, they probably pay closer attention to Gentoo users for that kek.

Can we all agree that this fat kike has basically ruined open source software? The GPL is basically the most harmful thing you can slap onto your project if you expect it to grow and be shared. True freedom is allowing the user to do whatever they want with their fucking code.
GPL is a viable license for certain things, the reason rms has ruined open source is his constant spamming his bullshit politics
he is a narcissist with a hugely toxic personality
>>54680676
Are they allowed to kick him out somehow?
>>54680685
good question, I dont think FSF has control over the GPL license, if they did Im sure someone would come up with a copycat license
i have built a computer and checked the specs over and over again. I just cant seem to get the darn thing to post. runs and turns on but will not show up on the monitor. This is the second motherboard since the first was DOA. PLEASE HELP.

Have you tried installing Gentoo?
as if i could while its not posting
Try running the computer with one cpu cable , instead of two . Take one of the 4 pin connectors out then try booting .
So what exactly does SLI/CrossFire do? Since Google is not giving a clear answer here, and I never tried multi-GPUs before.
Does it not only allow the user to hook up multiple graphics cards, but without any hindrance to their speed? Because a lot of motherboards, when you install multiple GPUs, will slow them down to either half or quarter of their default speed to better articulate the power that's being supplied to them.
And if SLI/CrossFire do not help with that at all, how does one go about using multiple GPUs on a board without sacrificing speed to the...

In game it pretty much makes each card take turns rendering each frame.
Face it. He's a try-hard. He calls himself Dr. Stallman despite only having honorary degrees. That would be like Kanye West calling himself Dr Kanye West. But he doesn't because even he knows that's pretentious.
If Kanye West is less pretentious than you, you're doing something wrong.
Stallman is a gargantuan faggot who calls himself a 'doctor' without having gained a PhD, destroys any credibility he has by acting like an ass "I'm not glad he's dead but I'm glad he's gone" and his only real claim to fame...

anyone who look up to this twat is an idiot. I like free software but the idea of never using propritary software is litterally impossible for any semi-functioning human to follow

Hi /g/
A friend of mine asked me to recommend a Linux distro for him. I myself use Arch, but he's looking for something less rolling-release and more easily installable. He's moderately computer-savvy - experienced, but not sysadmin/programmer.
Apart from that, the only other requirement is a good KDE support.
How's kubuntu doing these days? What about other popular distros and their KDE support?
Thanks
>>54680395
I've only found KDE to be stable under Arch. I assume because it was a newer version. Kubuntu was laggy for some reason.
Design has improved and it doesn't feel as aimless as it used to. It's usable, but alternatives are still better.
>>54680395
OpenSUSE if he likes KDE.
Fedora if he likes gnome
Ubuntu if he likes unity
