Any sites with good tutorials that start you from scratch?
You could easily browse some universities classes and see for yourself a full academic quarter/semester of each subject. Off the top of my head if you google ICS 46 Pattis UCI you'll get UC Irvine quarter's base curriculum on data structures. Algorithms would be tougher. For the highest good shit (graph algorithms) you can try the book Algorithm Design and Applications for graph algorithms but its thick and unweildy, probably good to look at it and google the concepts. Other than that just look at random stuff and try challenges on hackerrank. MOST of the later good...

Yes please do, thank you. I want to start learning this material before I take courses in it. I'm highly interested.
College.
>be me, hired with IT placement agency. Agency says hey have a job but must talk to second recruiter. Finish phone interview with secondary recruiter. First recruiter says second recruiter said I need to be more upbeat and show more energy.
Anyone get this?
All the time m8, life is hard if you're not chad

>more energy
what does that mean?
>>54742999
Exactly. I still have to confirm with him tomorrow that I'm interested So basically have to talk louder and be a happier douchebag. So tired of this shit. Had a job with an asshole supervisor who actually called me in the office says "I have no get up and go but I do my job well and get my numbers". Then what's the problem? I don't smile and walk fast enough? Wtf.
I want it
I want so bad, lads

Heres a question for your Computer minded fellows,
A friend recently gave me a bag of computer parts, in which was a single stick of ddr3 ram, corsair vengeance 8gb. HOWEVER, upon inspection, its one piece of a 2x8gb setup...
Question is, will it work by itself? Or will my Mobo need the other 8gb in order to even recognise one? Pic for attention, though its the same thing
>>54742836
RAM is RAM, you can just pop it in.
>>54742836

Pretty safe
Safer than most

Couldn't you develop technology to learn to code and code faster than humans though?
Because you're a retard.

How many monitors can the GTX 1080 support?
4x 4K sounds... ridiculous.
Oops. I meant 8K. The GPU supports up to 8K res, but how many monitors can it handle in that resoluion?
also how do you even connect a resolution that big if 2560x1600 is the cuttoff for HDMI and DVI?

Hi /g/, technical question about music (tried asking /mu/ to no avail >>>/mu/65155389), how do I make music louder without ruining the quality? Some songs sound great when I max my volume bar (windows 7), but if I try to raise their db in Audacity for example, the quality goes to shit, even if my volume bar is on half. It's still quieter than the unedited song in full bar, but shit quality. I don't get it.
Basically I want it to sound like maximum volume bar when my volume bar is at half....

what music format are you using OP?
Out of random, have you seen (and tried) this?
>>54742649
MP3, WAV, FLAC, it's all the same story with regards to increasing volume. Raise 5 DB in software, get clipping, still quiet. Raise volume mixer bar, great quality and great loudness.
>>54742666
Yeah, it doesn't change much
Do any of you lads have experience using the touchscreen on a hybrid running Linux?
Does it work well?
Linux had no drivers for my laptop's pen digitizer, just the touchscreen. I run OpenBSD because it's got drivers for both

What laptop would that be, anon?
Arch with Gnome runs great on my x220t
Please help, I broke my computer. I have a custom theme for windows and some of the buttons went back to windows default for some reason, anyway I went to try and re-load the theme and it broke windows explorer. This has happened before (seemingly randomly idk) but I've kept restore points so it hasn't been a problem. But this time they're gone.
I need a way to either fix my explorer or keep my files and do a fresh install, preferably without buying another hard disk.

My old back panel cover that came with my case doesn't fit the ports on my new motherboard. What do, /g/? Are there standardized plates I could buy?
there should be a new panel in the motherboard box
you can pop out the panel in the case
alternatively just dont use a panel, they dont do much except look pretty

push harder on the mobo, its not in all the way yet
bending a little is normal, it will fit if you push hard enough

Hmmm
I need some advice on speakers. I'm buying some for my stereo cabinet and I'm looking at the thrift store because I'm cheap.
But every speaker I find has no fucking audio plug on the end of the cord. It's just bare wire. Like, what the fuck? Why is this and is there any way to attach a plug without a soldering iron?
>>54742214
>But every speaker I find has no fucking audio plug on the end of the cord. It's just bare wire. Like, what the fuck?
That's because you need an audio receiver to drive it. It has no amplifier or DAC.
Buy a receiver that's strong enough to drive the speaker and takes a signal your source can provide. There should be plenty of audio receivers at the thrift store.
>>54742214
>>54742960
Forgot to mention that the receiver has connectors that take the two wires from each speaker.
