So what's it like for you windows 7 users to be able to launch Spotify without waiting TEN FUCKING MINUTES, at which point it shits the bed so hard that you're forced to hard shut down? Must be nice. (4690k/7200RPM/8GB)
Not to mention how launching chrome will actually slow down the computer so badly for about a minute that my music actually begins to start cutting out. Yet cpu usage is at regular levels.
I've used Windows 7 for around 5 years now and never did any reformat. However my system already needs one because it is taking 15mins just to log in to Windows.
I'm the sole script kiddy programming the (PyQt) GUI to operate the instrumentscin a physics lab (e.g. via PyVisa). As the experiementalists are also going to make ad hoc additions later, I'm supposed to check for version ccontrol systems. I know of course of the GitHub repository, but what are other version control opions? The scale of the operation is minimal and it's all on a shared drive.
