Hi /guru/. In the past 10 years I've been in jail don't ask why. Tell me what's going on in technology field.
Windows 10 is being pushed by Microsoft, it's invasive on all your privacies.
Facebook take cares for all other privacies you used to have, it even will decide the outcome for the elections, as it will only warn democrats about not forgetting to vote.
Don't ask about google, since your long lost friend is now your enemy too.
When will Japanese robot waifus become mainstream?
First they need to develop them.
If they will make them with great quality so they will become good alternative for woman, we will have to wait until some celebrity will publicly admit they are in relationship with an android.
At this point it will no longer be considered creepy and robots will become mainstream.
>implying my parents wouldn't be proud of son who got PhD and is working in cutting-edge research
redpill me on emacs
Once upon a time in the 80s, computers only had keyboards and text editors were a worthwhile investment because you could legitimately save time with a different one that had more features.
Then the 90s happened, and too many people got access to technology. This pissed off psuedo-"hackers" who were, are, and will always be bitter turbo losers because they dropped out hard in the first year and can't find a proper job and needed something to be better than those "normies" forgetting that this new device called a mouse had existed, because mice...

Should I just reinstall?
1440p@144hz vs 1080p@144hz. Is the jump in price really worth it? Can you really spot a difference?
I'm running ubuntu 14.04. and I need some screen recording software capable of recording my desktop sessions, audio from the mic, and audio output(what I would hear in my headphones)
I have used kazam in the past and it worked like a charm, but it won't launch anymore fro some reason. I've tried simplescreenrecorder and recordmydesktop, but they are only capable of recording one audio channel.
do any of you know of a software that fits the bill?
tried that one too when the issue first occurred, I just came to the conclusion that kazam was not going to work.
besides kazam encodes on the fly, so it eats up a hell of a lot of RAM and processor usage
Someone make a public Google spreadsheet with anonymous people allowed and everyone messes around with it. I wonder what would come up. Give link when made.
So, who here excited for Year of the AMD Desktop?
I was wondering if it is possible to set up a communication system like arrow? I figure this is the best place to ask.
Why aren't you using ncurses for your next project, /g/?
>Arch Linux or Gentoo, which one should I install to replace my LFS partition and play some steam games?
How smart are you /g/? Can you solve this?
>You can only go in the order red > white > blue > red > white > blue, and so on.
Start at the red dot, pass through the red wall, and from then on you must pass through a white wall and then a blue and then a red.
Your goal is to exit through the blue wall at the top of the maze.
Submit as drawings or feel free to go "up, right, up left, down".
Well, /g/? Are you truly as smart as you say you are? Is your IQ really above 300?
This. You make a directed graph with three vertices for each location in a puzzle, one for each color representing the next color move you are required to make. Each colored wall represents a pair of edges between two of those three spaces. Compute shortest paths on the resulting directed graph and you have your route (if any).
I'm too lazy to actually implement it, but this will give you all the answers.
Can we agree on how stupid this is, battery life is bad because there is no demand? Even though dozens of industries depend on battery life???
Battery life isn't really an issue. Headphones last 4-5 hours on a single charge. Nobody uses them for longer than that continuously.
Its much like a gas tank in a car. 300-350 miles is the most convenient range for cars. There may be a few occasions where you would need to go over that range continuously, but it is rare and not worth hauling around a bunch of extra gas on a regular basis.
That is an acceptable response, saying that economics, however would fix one of the problems science has been facing for decades however is offensive is what I was concentrating on.
Arriving in the mail tomorrow. Any thoughts on them? Heard they're good for the price and all I really care about is bass.
Fuck i meant to put a picture of Logitech z623s. Sorry
>bought product X
"is product X any good?"
Should've asked that beforehand retard. Also this is not your personal tech support.
Anyway, the speakers are absolute shit. The bass overpowers the satellite speakers if you crank up the volume slightly. The satellite speakers sound like tin cans. Good job wasting your money, kid.
