So I just picked up one of the review copies today and I am warning you that the RX480 is the worst card I have ever tested.
On air at max it sometimes hits a 96 degree spike when running 2160p benchmarks.
The card crashes mid game about any AAA 2016 game I throw at it.
The 4k performance is nonexistent
The card doesn't even outperform a 970, even a 960 can destroy it in benchmarks
GTA V ULTRA 1080p
480: 37fps
960: 45fps
970: 78fps
This also doesn't play nice with my oculus and there is massive stuttering...

Hmm so its as good as nvidias 480. Maybe they just rebranded it.
>>55298507
Well its in my testbench at my office, so I won't be there till an hour later
The advantages of boob-shelving when you're an electrical engineer.
Done that a few times with my moobs.
Not as good as a belly table extension

What will perform better for raw calculations?
20 orange pi PCs in a cluster, or an i7 6700? Roughly the same cost.
Probably an i7 6700.
>>55298598
That's what I was thinking too, but I was still curious because it was 20 of the PIs which should still be decent for raw performance.
Would a small cluster of 2 or 3 PIs be enough to host a website on?

WHY DOES AMD HAVE TO FUCK UP EVERYTIME?
I REALLY TRUSTED YOU THIS TIME PAJEET, EVEN SOLD MY GTX960 FOR IT. WHY DID YOU FUCK US UP WITH THAT CARD? I JUST WANTED GTX 980 EXPERIENCE BY PAYING $250.
JUST WHY
I CANT WAKE UP

Never buy AMD, they refuse to the the driver overhead for dx11, instead forcing it's users to drop HD5000 and 6000 cards and gcn users to use dx12 and windows 10 for competitive performance.
Just buy the gtx 1060 or 1070.

look at that fucking price, why would I even buy it?
What should I be looking for in a 1080p monitor? I want to replace my 7 year old Dell Ultrasharp 1680x1050. Whatever technology it uses, the blacks aren't great and the viewing angle is pretty narrow.

>1080p monitor
DOA
get 4k or 1440 144hz
What are you, a poor Indian?
1080 is obsolete

>buy 27 inch 4k monitor
>no 4k content other than shitty netflix and porn
>have to watch 1080p videos, anyway
>they look blurry as shit

But anon games look beautiful in 4k
Even general Web browsing, everything is so clear
And I have a 28 inch 4k monitor not 27, thank you very much
What monitor aspect ratio does /g/ have?

lol wcc and vcardz reposting the same shittier polnish benchmark that shows an heavy OVERCLOCKED 970 vs a stock 480.
which is totaly fine because a heavy oc 970 = stock 980 so the 480 perfoms just fine on 980 level.
GTKucks will defend this

Been working with linux for years, never once I used it as my main desktop. Only as servers or for development.
with all the distros just one look at the icons or UI or whatever makes you realize that a bored teenager made the GUI.

Do you have a FB account?
I noticed this a few months back. I noticed that I was getting a lot more friend suggestions of people that I didn't know, which was the first thing that made me curious. Facebook had always been suggesting that I friend people when I had mutual friends with that person, but suddenly it was suggesting that I friend people that I didn't recognize, and with whom I shared no mutual friends. So I started paying a bit more attention. Then I noticed that, among the random strangers, there were a few people that I did know but did not have...

Am I understanding this correctly? This guy is claiming ATI head guy is deliberately sabotaging his division so ATI would be bought out by Intel, even though AMD is the owner and it's up to them whether they sell, and the AMD CEO isn't going to do anything about it because of reasons not explained. All of this is proved by AMD having a product launch in an exotic place.
I'm confused.

feels god to see n/v/idiots shilling full force, because now i know the 480 btfo out anything n/v/diot got in their pocket.
best is that they report a benchmark from polish trash site that proofs the expected perfomance of 480= 980 stock performance =heavy oc 970
