So I finally managed to replace the orange ODD cable on my PS2 slim after damaging like an idiot while cleaning it and noticed that I also managed to fuck up the power button/board as well. I really don't won't to have to order a plastic cover so I was wondering if anyone on here knew how to power on/reset the PS2 on this power board? I also included the stupid plastic button that broke off as reference for where the button might go.
>>51444587
google tells me it should work if you bridge those 4 contacts for a second or so. shorter for reset.
>>51445006
That right? What do you think I should bridge them with? I can't really shove the plastic button in there without cutting it up first. Is there like a household item that could do the trick?

a flat piece of conductive metal should work
UBUNTU DIDNT CONNECT TO THE INTERNET

WTF is this? I thought Linux was supposedly user friendly and on its way out of the ghetto. Instead you have to go through five million Google results to fix any problem and you can't find any solution because of the fragmentation and the fact that the typical Linux user thinks that typing an essay in to the command line filled with commands that were impossible to know a priori is easy as pie

How the fuck does a device that doesn't even run full photoshop 'take over the artist market'?
Meanwhile the surface can do real art. X86 >> ARM.

I've finally got enough money for a ninvida gtx 960 and now I'm not sure if I should get the 2gb pny or the 2gb evga, I just need to know which one you guys think is better.
EVGA. Bro tier warranty and customer support, and better cards in general.
Please get that price compared if you're at Best Buy
Price for evga 220$ 199$ for the other
Give it to me straight, if I just want to get hardcore in to programming, is using windows fine?

Yes, it is. It was stupid to ask /g/ though
Why isn't /g/ using a distro endorsed and recommended by the Free Software Foundation? Pic related.
And surely its time to change the /g/ Wiki ?? - Stallman would weep if you actually did "install gentoo". It's just not free enough..
Not many people are genuinely that autistic.
>>51444214
install gentoo is the dankest meme of this board mang
and these distro are fugly shite
I browse trisquel forum, is literally cancer full of freetards

Is it autistic to insist on libre software in this day and age?
Didn't find the stupid question general so I'll just ask here
I'm trying to make my FX6300 run at 3.5, without auto overclocking or downclocking
I went in the BIOS and changed the following
Overclock: Manual
Frequency: 17.5x200 which gives me 3500mhz
Voltage: auto
Turbo: disabled
Now it stays at 3500 and downclocks when nothing is going on which is fine but sometimes it will go to 3800mhz, why the hell is it doing that? I just ran prime95 and it varied from 3500mhz to 3800mhz, is it because of the voltage?

OP here, another question
it has this over voltage thing, how does it work? does it add to the voltage or sets the voltage at what I want? I'm guessing 1.225 would be fine for 3.5, yes?
