Is there a /g/ approved portable speaker? I've been looking into buying one so I don't need to use my shitty phone speaker. Any suggestions?

>option zero
headphones
>option one
Any radio with batteries and audio in.
>option two
Two speakers, car battery and muxer taped to skateboard.
Anything else is meme just showing how high our life quality is when we can afford to waste money on such things.
Xiaomi speakers are good and not too expensive.
Have you tried to resolve the cicada puzzle ?
What do you think about this "organization" ?
Testimonies from people who solved them say it’s just an anti-botnet circlejerk on a darknet forum.

Have you tried fucking off forever?
Is MicroUSB the biggest scam in the history of consumer electronics? These things are literally designed to break with either very minimal torque on the connector, the torque of cable's own weight, etc. I've owned fucking dozens of the things and they've all become either completely useless or finicky (essentially useless). And no, this isn't a result of improper care, I plug and unplug by the grip, not by the wire, I don't bend the cables funky, my cat doesn't chew them, and I don't crush them under furniture.
This shit is already...

Go on eBay or Amazon buy a bulk for 40 dollars worth.
>>55621155
Stop buying shitty cables by the bulk from China? A solidly built Anker USB cable will last for-fucking-ever.
>>55621189
I shouldnt need to spend more than 5$ on a microUSB cable (I have many times, however). I've also been using the ones that come with my electronics. xBone controller microusb, shield tablet microusb, nexus 5 microusb, nexus 4 microusb, countless others.
I also shouldn't have to do go online to a specific retailer after doing research and reading/comparing user reviews just to get a cable that won't malfunction after 3 weeks of light use.
>inb4 "stop being so cheap"
The market standard should NOT be shit quality that lasts a few weeks.
So I just overclocked for the first time... and my fps went up approximately 2 fps on a benchmarking software. Is this normal? Also I overclocked my cpu, and it looks fine in the bios, but when I check any hardware monitoring inside the OS it still shows stock speed. It is an intel cpu. Is this correct? Although my cpu has performed better in all the benchmarking I have done, although marginally.
What are your overclocking success stories, /g/?
>passive cooling on gpu
>fans blowing on ram
New meme?
>>55621248
Not mine.
I found out my cpu in indeed overclocking.
>>55621248
Are you misunderstanding the picture?
Someone is overclocking CPU and so is therefore overclocking RAM as well, pushing up temps of RAM (which do not have heat spreaders) and using an air cooler to stop crashing/BSOD or just keep cool
GPU is just a shit card to output the video
Remember when JavaScript was universally despised, ridiculed and not even considered a real language by absolutely anyone having anything to do with programming? It used to be considered sub-VB, sub-PHP4, absolute-shit tier and the butt of every programming joke. Years have passed, JS still suffers from the same hastily made terrible design decisions, and yet it now seems to be considered the most brilliant fucking thing ever invented. What the hell?
>>55620991
Webkit happened, ya dufus. Then later V8 and SpiderMonkey
Also, JS does not suffer from terrible design decisions. JS, or ECMAScript, was literally intended as a Scheme for browsers and it is made by based Brendan Eich who hates faggots and doesnt afraid of anything (and even got fired for not going back on his principles).
>>55621043
>JS does not suffer from terrible design decisions
Name me another language with a textbook called "$LANG: The Good Parts", half of which explains how half of the language is shit and warts you should pretend aren't there.
>was literally intended as a Scheme for browsers
The intentions were good (I actually like the functional aspect of the language) but the execution was god-fucking-awful because the entire langage was thrown...

Webapps and hipsters. Along with the entire world getting fucked 20 ways, the cult of javascript rose.
Does /g/ have a favorite DE?
https://www.strawpoll.me/10770788
if you're using linux and still need a DE then you should not be using linux in the first place
KDE applications are best apps.
Cinnamon on mint is the only one I can get to work fine with no screen tearing and other retarded issues

what is the most realiable place to buy a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro? ali, gearbest banggood? does it matter?
All around best phone 200 euros (dollars) or less, not larger than around 5 inches. Bonus if it has a decent camera
Asked in the last thread
Anyone with a Redmi Note 3 Pro and have Verizon as a carrier?
Any issues with it?
And if there are issues, are there any big phone alternatives? I'm looking for a big phone.
Have a big booty.
How am I supposed to remove this screw?
> Dremen tools are too big,
> stripped head,
> Looks like the screw is also glued to the board, soldering probably won't be strong enough without breaking itself

have you tried a rubber band?
You were supposed to use the correct size screwdriver the first time

Writing an essay on net neutrality for my research ethics class and reading up on literature about distributed lock management.
I have homework due tonight for a economics class. Major is g related. I wanted to study for my net sec cert but procrastinated. I also need to fix the partition table on my pc, I was trying to share a home partition between distros but now ones home is a folder inside the other
Phone got stolen today, I'm looking for a cheap and reliable phone, what should I buy ?
I got a vzw moto e at Walmart on sale for $25. It's GSM unlocked and I ended up liking it so much that I sold my s4. I really couldn't be any happier with this fucking thing. I bought another as a back up just in case

Why isn't there an official "Delete your Facebook account" day?
Normies will eat that shit right up.
>>55620448
I would need to create one just to delete it...
>>55620448
What do you get out of it?
>>55620448
I use my account for communication.
It'd be nice, though, if there was an easy way to strip out all the data I've dumped into it over the years. I'd like to delete all my posts, likes, uploads, etc. and just be left with a blank account for use on Messenger.
>but they'd still have ur datas
yes, but they would if I deleted the account and started a new one, too. I've accepted Facebook as a necessary evil. It's the messaging platform...

What's the best FREE antivirus /g/?
>>55620330
A Chromebook or Ubuntu.
Windows Defender / MSE + uBlock Origin.
Avast! + Malwarebytes or just don't ve stupid online
Holy God damn why is this such a garbage piece of shit?
>be Windows 10 + Google Chrome walking meme
>install Xubuntu
>install Firefox
>browser stops responding for like 3 seconds every time I load a webpage, or just crashes
>have seen web pages load faster back in my dial up days
Why is Firefox so trash?
It's using almost half a gig of memory just to have my email and 4chan open. I would have 15 taps open in Chrome and not use more than 200 mb.

Firefox on Ubuntu here. Soaring like an eagle of American freedom. What are you on about, OP? It could be your pre-historic computer. Mine is 6 years old. Yours?
I'm so sad that I've witnessed the gradual downfall of Firebird ever since they changed the name.
