Thinking of buying 30 ft HDMI cable for xmaspresent. Locally it costs 40 €, not really premium brand. Ebay sells all kind of them between braided and flat etc. but i've had problems before with microUSB cables i bought from ebay.
Those had the common problem of not being "premium" and had powerwires made of same AWG that datawires and didnt give full power and volts. Ugreen and Anker microUSBcables i bought give full power compared to OEM cable.
Anyone ever had same problems with HDMIs?
I would appreciate the fuck out of a long ass HDMI cable. You're just an entitled faggot. I bet you're the kind of fuccboi who rages on twitter because daddy didn't get him the right color on his iPhone 6s Plus
I don't know what that is in real measurement instead of foot fetish ones but the longer the cable the bigger the signal loss. And this is in perfect conditions such as not going near other cables. It's pretty much expected behavior.
>tfw comcast throttling me to 3MB/s when I'm paying for 20
>youtube videos wont even load
>netflix doesn't work
>can't play games
TLDR how do I stop getting throttled?
No, I typed it that way for a reason, retard.
3 mid 20s guys living here that know how to computer, we're gonna use data.
They said "high users get bandwidth managed during peak hours" but I woke up at 7:30am and tested and it was still throttled. Total bullshit.
At what price point is APU better than CPU + GPU?
I know high and mid end are dominated by dedicated GPU, but low end APU is fine. What would you say is the price point below which an APU starts to make sense?
Let's say for total price of CPU/GPU vs APU, ignoring other parts of the build.
There is no price point where an APU is better.
There is only one situation where an APU is better, and that is when you're REALLY pressed for space, or you never plan on upgrading. Like it's a HTPC or something you want to stick in the corner.
So /g/ my dev group has been debating this for the last 20 or so min.
if you have:
what will be returned, 1 or 2.
we've tested it in a few compilers, C# says 1, C++ says 2, except one compiler that says it's using GCC says it returns 1, but I tested in a compiler using GCC and it returned 2.
Which is right and why?
I made a strawpoll, in case you guys can't decide.

Futures so bright, gonna need shades.
So... I mean, he's got some pretty violent and dangerous delusions, right? What is our moral responsibility here? Should we call somebody?
I don't want to turn on the evening news one day and see Terry's mugshot. Who would continue to provide TempleOS updates?

Is the age of 20 too late to start getting into CS and programming? I'm currently at university and feeling very enthusiastic about it but at the same time I'm surrounded by loads of people who started much earlier, which makes me feel pathetic most of the time. Am I too old? Is it time to off myself?
Yeah, programming is like learning a foreign language. If you don't start when you're 3 years old, then you're absolutely fucked. Your brain will just never be wired to do it effectively. It's why white people can never know Chinese at the same level as a native speaker.

What are you working on, /g/?
>unable to manipulate text document to get rid of certain values and insert new ones
>instead manually change it from the text document
>do the rest through loops
>project worth 500 points
Surely I'll get at least half of those points.
What exactly are the limitations of a raspberry pi? I'm interested in getting into linux and Christmas is coming up so I'm thinking of asking for one
can it run mpv and music players and make those sexy desktops like in the desktop threads without chugging and all that?
depends on what you want to do, but if you're just treating it like you would your laptop, you'll be fine.
I personally use the nvidia jetson tk1 for things like object detection / machine learning. The downside is it costs 200$.
There's even a new one out that's 3x more powerful and costs around 500$.
tips on increasing internet usage?
Clover is fucking unusable; it crashes every few god damn minutes. I'm surprised it didn't crash while typing this post.
Is good or should I get something else?
If you do any programming or typing it's crap. It might be useful for a travel keyboard, but you're still better off with a tkl or one of those 65% boards.
It seems pretty hated on here, but the Code Keyboard and the DK4 aren't bad for actual productivity.
I'm not an expert on these things, though. I'm not into gaming, so it might have some sort of feature that's useful for gaming that I just don't know about.
Downsides of the DK4 is the cable, it's thick...

yes it's a meme. if you think the numpad is useless, fine, whatever (it's not), but I really don't understand how anyone can function without arrow keys, home, end, pgup, pgdn, prtscrn, and del.
Using an fn key to replace functionality is considered harmful. To hit the arrow key on that keyboard, you will have to hold fn with your right pinky, and then hit right arrow with your middle finger, and then the secondary modifier (ctrl, win, alt) with your left hand. It's such a hassle you'll...

Intel or AMD. are thy both the same sh**.
Just a question of /g/'s opinions since it's hard to generate mine, although according to price i'd place AMD no.1
