Have you guys ever been to an internet/gaming cafe?
What was it like?
don't they still exist?
I went to one in Manchester that looked incredible, massive underground setup but I was only with someone buying something and didn't stay

In the Sydney CBD there is a few, but I can't say I've seen any in the local area (South Sydney) in the past 5-10 years. Just realised this and figured I'd see what /g/ thought.
There used to be one called Headshot in my area back before CS:S came out, went there a few times and had a good time.
Also went to one in the city once and played some Quake but I was the only Caucasian guy there so I felt like the elephant in the room.
I realise this post is more /v/ than /g/ but...

Yes, we know everything is already from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on Gearbest, AliExpress, eBay and similar sites.

New Chink Shit Arrival:
It's a biggun
I have a friend who will need a user friendly Linux OS on his laptop that he will use to record instrumental audio. For the most retarded reasons I cannot install Windows 7 so he wants to give Linux a try. I don't know a single thing about music recording but does anyone know any good software for that? Also the most recommended distro will be put on the laptop, just nothing too hard. He is a Winblows fag after all.
I guess Audacity is used for recording a lot, isn't it?
>>55451708
>>55451769
Definitely audacity. It's the most popular recording software on linux by far. I can't even think of another off the top of my head.
As for the OS, definitely ubuntu or a derivative. I would recommend xubuntu, which is just ubuntu, but with the xfce desktop environment, which will be easier to use for someone who's used to windows.
I would normally recommend Mint, but in his case, KDE Neon would probably be best.
honestly /g/ why aren't you using opera? it's based on chromium, little botnet, can use all the extensions provided by chrome.
there is literally no reason not to switch rn.

Way too many manufacturer variations and thus no festure updates.
Hey /g/,
I'm looking for a new pair of headphones. Preferably IEMs. i've been using the Klipsch S4 (the model without the voice/volume thing on the wire). I've never been more satisfied with a pair of headphones. I made a horrible mistake maybe two years ago and bought Monster DNA In-Ear Headphones. They sucked. Went back, no we're here. Ideally, I'd love to use a pair of wireless in-ear headphones. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about where I might start looking at these. My preliminary search led me to think the NuForce BE6i would...

Why wireless? Shure SE215 are pretty nice for a cheap IEM.
>>55451189
Convenience, really. It's been something I've wanted since I was 13, I've always just wanted the ability to listen to music without a wire getting in the way of everything. I study architecture, and specifically while building models or using my hands, making sure the wire is out of the way can sometimes be a hassle. I'll check out the Shures though, thanks man.
thanks
Let's try this again. Write a C++ program, one line per post.

What is the best way to make ubuntu more secure? Running 16.04 and I have disabled amazon shit spyware, dash search info, and installed tor bundle.
Installing Kali tools right now, what else should I install for privacy?
>inb4 gentoo
>its ok i have it on my laptop kek
Use the grsec kernel
ClamAV I guess if you feel like you want an anti-virus software.
>more secure?
>Installing Kali tools right now,
Those two things are not related
So, in case you're ootl, PoodleCorp is a "hacker" that got access to the youtube accounts of WatchMojo, Redmercy (LoL player), and Leafy.
Here's a video of the guy behind it, where you can clearly see him logged in as PoodleCorp on twitter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76RlgheqYkI He doesn't make any attempts to hide this relation.
Anyway, how do you reckon he got access to these accounts? I imagine Leafy was pretty easy, but WatchMojo and Redmercy seemed like they'd be more careful. Password bruteforcing is pretty much not an option....

they're literally just a bunch of skids
or a better term: summerfags
now fuck off
>>55451381
no shit poodlecorp is a skid, just look at his youtube videos.
so that begs the question, how did he get access to these people's YT accounts?
is it all a fake? did all the people he "hacked" cooperate with him? after all everyone got their channels back and all the titles went back to their previous state.
>>55451544
that seems awfully... plausible
I am looking for a power bank to carry around in my bag to charge my phone and tablet with. Does anyone have any advice?
You should try this one called KYS, I've been using it for awhile and it works great.
>>55451063
One of these should do the trick. It'll last you for days

Sure is summer in here.
apple gets a lot of hate here but you have to admit the mac pro was an excellent design when it was announced in 2013
since there are expected updates coming this year so who's /upgradingtomacpro/ this year?
Neat concept, needs better cooling.

Too bad that was all it was.
>>55450933
what's wrong with it's cooling system?
Just a friendly reminder that if you utilize any Intel or Nvidia products you are automatically classified as a cuck.

Would /g/ drive a car designed / manufacture / serviced by Microsoft or Apple? How about Google?
Not until 1000s of people die desu
>beta testing a fucking car
>>55450779
nope because i prefer my cars old and to only get about 8 miles to the gallon all while having no safety features what so ever
Pretty sure the first car would be a combo like Nokia/Windows. If not then no, they have no experience with cars and would source it from whoever knows where.
