It's actually textured plastic. It's not soft or pliable at all.
Received an AR-15 wrench tool thing. Now I was skeptical when I ordered this. And I think the worries were founded. This tool works. But it will probably only work a couple of times. The reason is, that the metal seems a little soft and the manufacturing tolerances are probably a little wide. The zoom is a little weird because at the extent you hardcore see the chip in it and that's all it projects. Still how can you complain for so cheap. I'm on my like 4th pair as well. But for me one of the head phone ear pieces eventually breaks off. The piece they rotate on is kinda flimsy. I do like over ear better than earbuds for comfort but it's a bit sad that these 4$ headphones can sound much better.
