What shell do you use?
I've been using fish for years for its autocompletion, but the not being POSIX compliance is starting to bother more than I'd like. Bash is ok, zsh seems customizable but convoluted. Things like ohmyzsh seem like a bad idea because you'd be using a config you don't understand which only complicates things. What choose?
>using linux
zsh is comfy
I use zsh interactively. I use the syntax coloring thing and I understand it at least as well as the fish implementation.
I script in pure POSIX bourne shell or bash iff I'm feeling really lazy, bash makes something noticeably easier and I'm not going to use the script on another system.
Hey /g/ I am attempting to remove all traces of certain files from my arch linux install. I had them downloaded to an encrypted truecrypt container which I have since securely deleted with secure-delete. I was wondering if there are any other places that traces of these files could be found, like in some kind of file cache somewhere. Some of the files were images and I have removed the ~/.cache/thumbnails folder, also with secure-delete. Are there any other places that I should check and/or delete? Any help is appreciated.

DBAN with Department of Defense 5520 or physically destroy the drive.
This is assuming destroying all traces is very important however.
I am reading ghost in the wire from Kevin Mitnick and that got me interested in computer security.
I'm trying to learn more on the subjet so I am gathering materials.

I dunno. But nice cats makes my all my angriness vanish.
Kevin teaches that computer security is actually people security. All the secure passwords in the world won't help if someone rings your accountant and she just gives someone the password.
I just opened this site, hoping to learn Angular and looked at the code at this URL: https://angular.io/
Now my eyes hurt. Am I alone?
Fucking awful.

Could the police trace back your location through your steam account?
>>52397315
they'd probably just go to steam and ask them for server logs
>>52397347
I used a VPN, but I'm worried they could track it in it's current state, i.e now when I'm at home
>>52397390
If you ever logged in to that account at home, or the account has any info that can be linked to you (email, CC, etc) then it's possible.
Looking for a simple phone for just talk and text. What does /g/ suggest?
>>52397093
if you are looking for a simple phone then why does it have to be the best?
>>52397120
something reliable. decent battery, opinions on size/comfort etc.

I want to be /g/ but I want functioning phone too
Okay /g/ I sorta fucked up.
I have a MacBook which I installed Windows 8 in it, problem is that it's got a small capacity of storage (60 - 50 GB without Windows, 40 with Windows) So I was bothered that I've got small storage and decided to delete the Mac partition since I really wasn't using it because I wanted more storage for Windows because I download a lot of things (Yeah that's really fucking stupid)
Now Windows is acting a bit strange cuz I fucked up with something within the system files which now I can't open the settings and change...

GimpBook at its finest. Enjoy your jail, you can't even change the disk drive without doing visible damage to it. Also, since GimpBook uses Bootcamp instead of a BIOS, if you remove teh OSX volume it will most likely just refuse to boot any OS.

It refuses to boot OSX yes, but it still boot's my Windows partition

Bad psu or switch or you wired it wrong
Or your OS is shit.
Install gentoo & shut your mouth
>>52397029
How can I tell if it's the PSU, I put it under heavy load earlier and it was perfectly fine.
Only thing I can think of is maybe I wired the front panel incorrectly but all my shit works.
Should I get a MacBook Pro Retina 15 or a Dell XPS 15?

rMBP is the only right answer.

>>52396740
usually takes this long to
A. learn enough about computers to understand them
B. accomplish enough in life to stop caring about your own goals and putting morals ahead of secular motivations
Because young losers like you don't even aspire to not be a loser, any more.
They were in college when computers were invented and are still butthurt that they weren't allowed to play with the machines willy-nilly
Solid Explorer had an update a moment ago on my phone. Motherfucking full screen ads after closing and permanent ads on the bottom while in-app.
The one app I genuinely liked. The one good app I had. I'm a little heart broken to be honest. It hurts.
:::::::
What's New
1.7.0:
- fixed SD card access on Android 6
- fixed storage detection on Android 6
- minor bug fixes
Now Solid Explorer Classic is free for everyone and displays ads. In order to remove them, please install the unlocker. Existing unlocker owners are not affected...

I don't throw my money at people indulging in this kind of behaviour when I don't have to. I would have been more willing to purchase a better version of the basic app, had they not gone full villain mode.
how shit is my speccy guys?
