Im in the market for a pair of simple headphones for the destitute, Should I go for this Sennheiser HD 202, or a Superlux HD661?
Money is tight and these are going to be used on a Vive. Shameful, I know, but I can upgrade them later.
This is the superlux, slightly more expensive and without the Sennheiser pedigree
>>53596131
They're both great headophones for thei price, I like the superlux sound a bit more, but that's just personal preference, you should try both if you can, but you can't go wrong with either.

>poorfag
buy a fucking amd cpu and kill you're self
Not sure if right board, but idk where else to look.
Is an Olympus M. Zuiko a decent camera? I'm not looking for anything amazing, just something with relatively high res, and I found on on CL for under $100.

>keypad for keyboard shortcuts for quick and more precise navigation that what is possible with a mouse
>trackball (or a thinkclit if you'd rather have that) for more complex navigation that can't be done with keyboard shortcuts, such as selecting links on a web page
>leaves other hand free to do whatever you want
Tell me why this is a bad idea.
>>53595394
Shit, forgot to shop in the second mouse button
you'd want to put the mouse buttons somewhere your fingers can click them, you don't want to move your thumb just to click, else it'd be slower and prevent you from holding-and-dragging.
>>53595492
You need a mouse wheel senpai.
REUTERS - A team of scientists at MIT have discovered a link between desktop operating system choice and several serious social and mental disorders. The team did a wide-ranging survey across three states of 20,000 males and 10,000 female users ages 18 to 25, drawn from users of three popular desktop operating systems; Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X and Linux. The volunteers were divided into groups according to their operating system and subjected to a series of tests meant to determine their individual IQs as well as cognitive, social and behavioural abnormalities.

So tl;dr: lincucks are pedos and Macfags are fags
What exactly is the news here?
>loonix freaks are maladjusted basement dwellers
>macfags are borderline retarded and gay
>windows users just slightly less retarded
Looks legit.

Buy a Nexus you dip if you want custom ROMs and access to many developers (also easy root). Nexus 6P, or else 5X if you are a poorfag.
I strongly recommend Xiaomi. After few main smartphone brands (LG, Sony etc) I switched to it and I'm more than happy

I recently faced an issue with my computer freezing. I played battlefield 3 with the cpu and gpu graph open and I found out that I'm getting these massive spikes that result in ~5sec screen freezing. This happens like every 30secs and makes gaming unplayable.
This also happens when I'm just browsing the internet so I doubt that it's a cpu heat issue.
Any ideas on what's causing this or how to fix it?

What have you tried to do to fix it?
>>53593901
ran a virus scan, downloaded new grapics card drivers, tried shutting down several processes without result

I replaced my heatsink's thermal paste with mayonnaise, as apparently it works really well. I thought it was a joke at first, but there are all sorts of videos and articles on it.
Why does Arch get so much hate on here? I've been using it for a year and never had any problems with pacman breaking X or any other packages. Stability has never been an issue, either.
I installed it once, with a short and to-the-point installation guide, and I was done in less than 20 minutes.
What don't people like about it?
>>53593726
install gentoo
Many Arch users (especially on reddit and similar) are very loud and elitist, and generally a PITA.

How will learning discrete mathematics and algorithms improve my ability as a programmer?
not at all
You'll be able to impress higher ups with cool recurrence relations of your algorithms you program
You might be able to write more than database access code for one..
What do people use Lua for besides making games?
I've heard of it being used in finance in some capacity because of its speed
>>53592694
awesome WM ?
scripting WoW
>>53592694
Scripting applications, like it was VBA or some configuration file.
For example, Adobe Lightroom offers Lua to automate things.
This is the kind of work Lua was designed to do and not games and it shows.
Also, from time to time there is the fad to replace stand alone scripting languages like Ruby or Python with Lua which usually recedes after a period as soon as these 1337 scriptzorz find out Lua wasn't designed for that either.
If you were given the task by god to program an operating system using machine language, could you do it. You have an unlimited amount of time and all the reading resources available to you.
>You have an unlimited amount of time and all the reading resources available to you.
Everyone who isn´t literally and I mean literally retarded, could do it under those circumstances.
