Which is better? I'm about to build a rig for graphic intensive shit and the monitor I'm eyeing has gsync capabilities so I'm kinda leaning towards nvidia. But I heard AMD has gotten a lot better.
im good with the x radeon driver
I swear on me mum if you buy a gsync monitor and an AMD card I'll bash you.
>>53663484
I'm just wondering if AMD cards are significantly better. Enough to make me switch monitors.
Okay, I'm building a new gaming PC and I'm watching the videocard benchmarks. The things is, benchmark-wise Nvidia almost always wins, but I've noticed here on /g/ people like AMD better.
So, I'd appreciate it if you guys tell me exactly why Nvidia is better or the opposite. I'm speaking of high-end cards, but if the situation with the cheaper cards is different, I'd be interested in hearing your arguments about them, too.
If you have a lower-end CPU and want your GPU to perform to its maximum potential, NVidia all the way. AMD cards need a highly overclocked i7 to back them up because of their horrible driver overhead.
Lower power consumption, better performance and drivers that don't kill your GPU and crash all the time are all nice bonuses, too.
>>53663351
i prefer AMD because i have no real experience with nVidia other than my Quadro FX 4800, though nVidia is generally more powerful and can do more real world applications better than AMD because of their specialized processing cores, though with Polaris and Pascal we will see who is top dog once again
>>53663351
if you want literally the BEST card right now, get a 980ti, otherwise, for price to performance of genuinely anything below that, pick AMD, 90% of the time their cards will perform the same as nvidia equivalents for a lower price.

Why do you want to use a browser which is in fact nothing more than a simple app bundled with Chromium?
This makes no sense.
So I got a copyright infringement email from Comast for a movie I did not download.
My downstairs neighbor stole my Wifi password when she was visiting my mom home when I wasn't home once and I believe she did it.
Should I inform them of this and change my wifi password?
I caught her using her Xbox 360 on my wifi once and this is how I know this.
She is a crackhead who cannot afford internet, I am surprised she has a 360.
I'm afraid to question it because they may look into any history they have stored on my, I do pirate animu and shit from private trackers.
Emails arent official documents.
If you are sued for copyright infringement it will always be on paper, never per mail. Learn to identify spam and stop clogging up this board.
>>53662376
This. Comcast won't really do anything unless it's a repeated offense, they just have to send those emails out. Change your wifi password and go on with your life.
Where you been when HTC10 already won before arrival?
Samshit and Aplel fags on suicide watch.
And before hurr durr numbers mean nothing, just remember HTC won before with 2gb ram , they know how to optimize android, hell, M8 at that time beat nexus from Google.
I'm so buying this.

No one on earth uses Arch Linux in a professional environment. In fact Arch fags have an excuse for it--it's too bleeding edge. This is no way helps when pacman fucks up everything so little Pugsey has mom cancel all his meetings to fix it. Also, notice that Arch users tend to have inflated sense of self-importance and really no desire to contribute to the Linux community?
Arch faggots don't care about free software
Arch faggots don't care about the free software philosophy
Arch faggots don't care about really building something at the end...

anyone of you gentoomen has the new xps 13 (skylake)?
is it good? thinking about buying it but would like to hear your opinions first
There are major problems that are in this generation that were not fixed in the previous generation. One is that the audio device will randomly stop working and you need to reset it from the UEFI. Another is that if you use Linux, then the screen will randomly stop working until you go into sleep mode. This problem has existed since the 2015 February edition.
I'm waiting for one that I bought off dell outlet to get here. There seem to be people complaining about different issues with it, but that's usually the case for everything. So just make sure you buy it from a reputable seller that has a good return policy.
All the old problems are still there. Do not get one

Alright fellas, I'm in need of a new laptop. I'm looking at the Asus zenbook UX305 series. I'm not gonna use it for much, internet browsing, movies, little flash games, etc. Any recommendations? Trying to keep it under $1000

So found a Dell Mini 9 at a thrift store for $5 bucks. Upgraded the ram to 2GB.
What's the best distro for this thing? Best meaning speed and relevance.
Just looking to browse the net, try to run CS 1.6, ease of use.
Looks like Ubuntu, Lubuntu, and Mint. Anything but WinXP
I just run Debian+i3 on my netbook, good enough.
I really like the look of the 9, kind of want one to replace it.
I'm gonna say crunch bang or lxbuntu

I used this a lot back when I had a dk2. Of course, dk2 has terrible hardware and makes it practically unusable, but it was pretty nice.
Makes you realize that just projecting your screen onto a curved surface is pretty damn shitty.
VR desktops call for a complete redesign. At the least, you need a 180 degree (if not 360) virtual desk space to move windows to. With virtual desktop there's no feasible way to get windows to scale the way they need to - I tried setting my res to 4k then setting my text scaling to 50%, but still, it's just no good. A complete...
