Hello /g/ I am in need of someone who is good with 8086 assembly language because I need to program some simple Computer Graphics on it. Basically what it ultimately should look like is the Microsoft screen saver where it changes shapes and colours. It should be a combination of Basic shapes, Combination of basic shapes, Radial shapes(spirals, polygons, radiating lines) and more "interesting" shapes with different colours. The shapes can change form, colour and location at any given time(it can even move around like the Microsoft screen saver). I know I am not supposed...

Enjoy pulling your hair out in frustration trying to program in a dead assembly langauge
>>53919296
Seriously, just install Borland C compiler under dosbox, or get an IBM PC XT.
>>53919310
I know it is a dead language but I am in uni and it is a part of a course and I need to use 8086 assembly. Believe me I would not do this to myself if I had a choice.
What's the biggest /g/ meme you fell for?
I fell for the Java meme. C, and even Python, are more graceful than that restricted verbose mess
>>53919218
Java isn't verbose, shitty frameworks like Spring and Java EE are.
Use something good like Undertow or vert.x.
>I learned the most widely used programming language on the planet, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME
/g/, everyone
>>53919308
That's because there are a billion pajeets senpaitachi
Also, if usage is an indicator of low meme levels, then is facebook no longer a meme?

Those companies have government regulation.

tfw gmusicbrowser is actually best linux music player out there
I have this pre-installed from the distro but never used it. I'll try it just for the hell of it.
TFW MPlayer is actually the best

Eh its not bad, the Xubuntu devs are pushing Clementine hard for the next release, how do people like it?
>stats class
>mfw it's full of CS majors who can't into simple linear algebra trying to become "data scientists"
Stats is a first or second year course, why are you proud?

Y = mx + b
Boom. Algebra. A line. Linear algebra.
linear algebra is probably the easiest college-level mathematics
So I'm getting a free LG G5 to promote the device. Currently have a Nexus 5 and everyone else at my company uses iPhones so I'm the "Android guy". Is this phone any good? Is it worth switching from my N5?

I want to build a website for a small local restaurant. Is this the best simple solution, or is there a better simple web dev platform /g/ would recommend?

Gentoo is better

Electrical engineer here.
I'm supposed to chose between doing studies in either embedded systems or electricity and energy.
Which one suits best in todays market?
Energy is going down the shitters with the change to renewables, lot's of work to be done in infrastructure. So I guess electricity and energy would be good. Can't go wrong with embedded systems either, but that'll probably require you to get serious about programming.
>>53918668
>Electrical engineer here.
>I'm supposed to chose between doing studies
So you're not actually an electrical engineer, you're just an electrical engineering student.
What is it with engineering students claiming they're engineers? You don't see that shit anywhere else. A physics student won't tell you that he's a physicist.
>>53918668
Either is fine.
Embedded systems is gucci if you know how build functional systems.
And Energy is gucci if you want to be the asshole installing electric breakers.
>tfw almost fell for the Pale Moon meme

More videos. Anything about "deep" neural nets that aren't just a bunch of retarded layers? Unless a network can have arbitrary connections between nodes I don't see how it can effectively model an actual neural network.
