I fucking hate Apple now. I bought a 2nd gen iPod Touch for 60 bucks, thought it was a pretty good deal because it was the 32gb model one, however after a year or 2, I got it out to actually use it what it's for. But, loading music onto it sucks donkey balls. I tried iTunes but the whole program on Windows was a train wreck, then I tried MediaMonkey, it all had a confusing layout, but I managed to put some music onto it, I tried to put .flacs on it but it didn't work, but when I got around to listening to whatever was on it, half of the music I tried to upload was...

Maybe its defective and/or the hard drive on it has been replaced with a drive that isn't actually 32gb. Has happened to me before with songs being missing.
>>54348356
Nah, it's 32 GB, I tested it before. It's just the software that changed.

Remember, the user is the only victim of proprietary software.
Why do self harmful?
No Casio or TI babies allowed.
whats the benefit of using rpn?
My TI works just fine
I updated my RPN commandline calculator!
Now with 15 stack functions!

>>54348247
It's easier to re-use previous calculations, see intermediate results, undo mistaken operations, thus eliminating the use of scratch paper which even higher-level non-RPN math normies seem to need.
So now that takedownman has admitted to murder have you new fags finally decided to stop supporting him and his shitty YouTube channel? Fyi he is lying about his hacking skills all along never was in cult of dead cow. No such thing as "deep web outlaws" either.

literally who
>>54348317
You know who everyone can't shut up about him. He's a fucking fake lies about being a hacker and gives anons bad advice. He says Norton protects you from virus and its safe to use windows on the deep web! Doesn't even use tails only uses tor on a PC. Claimed to be a marine that was a lie was an mma fighter for one match and got knocked out. Says he's legally blind but that's a lie too. Is an open polygamist who neglects his kids and lives in motels.

>So now that takedownman has admitted to murder
Where did he admit to murder? All he admitted to is lying to someone he knew and they went and killed someone over it. I doubt that's even illegal.

if your shit isn't multithreaded. its why people can report having fantastic multi tasking ability on an fx, but in any benchmark it almost never shows it.
>>54348361
Bf4? Crisis 3?
They're both pretty well threaded and it puts the fx in the same league of performance as an i7 iirc.
Yeah it sucks when your use-case ends up being much narrower than you thought and you realise you could have made better hardware decisions.
On the other hand while newer releases seem to bring benefits to my aging FX processor I mostly play ARMA III and emulators which an Intel chip would have been much better for.
What is /g/'s opinion on protonmail? Seems like it's been pretty quiet since they allied with the jews.

Does anyone have any experience working as a freelancer programmer?
can you share your experiences, pay, complications, tips.
currently in university studying information systems engineering and my dream would be to graduate to have a backup plan in a form of a degree but work as a freelancer from my native town.
>live in rural Costa Rica in nice farm with nice house
>have to move to the capital to go to uni
>6 hour drive
>cant get used to living in a "big" city
since i live in costa rica and already own a property and a house i would need about 700 dollars a month for food, utilitys, and eating out a few times a month
earning over 1500 - 2000 dollars a month is considered a good salary here and you will live extremely comfortable with that kind of money.
is it posible as a freelancer /g/?
Really depends on the clients you get. I make around 19k (after taxes) a year from freelancing. I work with only one client. He completely depends on me.
>>54347913
how dificult was it to get that one client?
>>54347972
He's my brother's friend. My brother told him about me.
My other clients were from scriptlance, freelancer and elance. Those websites are nowadays full of Indians charging $10 for everything, though.
/g/, why is MATE so comfy, even from a live USB?
>>54347683
I don't know, you tell me. I'm deciding between mate and cinnamon
>>54347710
Felt like home, anon. Simple, luring, you almost feel it taking you by the hand and saying: "Everything will be OK, friend, even if we can't fucking close a zombie Package Installer process for shit."
I still feel comfy and I'm not sure I want to. Damn.
What's your wallpaper? Share it if you can.

Thank you sir/xir/ma'am/alaka/za'am, this may be what I'm looking for
What about computers and the Internet make people be so angry and aggressive? Do looking at screens create negative reactions in our brains?
Otherwise friendly people who avoid arguments in person act like beasts when they hear or read different opinions online.
>>54347335
Anonymity plays a huge role in determining the behavior of individuals online.
In real life when people know who you are and expect you to behave a certain way, chances are you will.
When you are anonymous there are very few if (if any) consequences to being a dick.
>>54347335
Fuck off twat
>>54347335
Because people don't shut the fuck up and except they're wrong when they are. Not to say this doesn't happen in person, just a contributing factor.
Also the fact that people generally try to express an "opinion" with lies or false truths to get a point across.
Lastly, and most commonly, people don't know shit about shit and have too much time on their hands. Shitposting with passion.
And the award for the worst icon goes too
What's wrong with it?
>>54347294
Not OP, but the way the circle "pops out" at the top of the triangle yet gets cut in the bottom really sets off my autism.

It's kinda ugly, but still better than the old one.
Hey, /g/. I'm new to Linux. Very new, actually. SO new that I haven't even installed it. Or picked out an actual OS. Can you guys give me some recommendations for OS's and some of the Pros and cons that comes with them?
>>54347021
read the sticky you fucking nigger
>>54347021
Take a very standard one and get a feeling from there. I would say Ubuntu or any of its variations.
Pros and cons are mostly connected to preinstalled software choices, package managers, flexibility, DIY factor, etc, which shouldn't be important by now. With time you will make your own decisions.
