Does anybody know what this is? My friend is convinced that it is an aircraft since he saw it in a museum about air and space in Manchester. But I am almost sure it is one of those formula 1 boats, and that it needs aerodynamics for speed and thus is displayed in such a museum. I googled a lot but I couldn't find anything.
The question is about the white thing in the background with the 12 on it.
/G/randpa can you tell me what videocards were like in the 90s?
xdfx? Ati? who are they?
Bitch doesnt know about my hercules
Why does everyone on /g/ seemingly hate Windows 10 so much? I genuinely think it's a good product. All the silly rumors about spyware/botnet are straight up lies created by idiot paranoids.
Windows 10 is the safest operating systsem on the market today, with features like smartscreen filter, applocker, cloud-based windows defender, and an improved updates system that ensures no computer stays unpatched and vulnerable.
Additionally, the whole telemetry paranoia is off the charts. They doesn't any personal info and it's only used to fix the bugs. Would you rather give one of the oldest and most reputable American software companies a small bit of info on how you use your computer, or would you rather help provide your entire identity and all your files to cybercriminals?
There is also a lots of other good improvements in Windows 10 like the new Edge Browser, built in appstore, memory compression, DirectX 12, and Cortana assistant. So many good things in Windows 10 but elitist idiots stick to 10 year old windows 7 saying its safer and better. LOL its 2016. Please tell me im not the only person here with even the slightest sense of rationality.
Whats the fastest tool to edit pictures and probably adding text to them?
Active directory and Domain Controll is the only reason why windows is and will be the king of corporate world.
All linux coders just can't make something that is "not so fun" with good documentation, becuse it is boring. All edege students and anime hikimori stfup
T windows admin mcse,
Does windows update even worth? Everytime I do it, it always fucks up and "reverts changes" only to be stuck there for a ridiculous or even to the point it's frozen.
I already use both Antivirus and Mal ware protection and most of the time, my computer runs fine without doing them.
Seriously, if I didn't play games on my computer I'd say duck windows
just get this
update hardware drivers, net framework shit and play your games. no need for other windows updates.
Im sick of it too, it takes a day for it to find updates after fresh install, a day to install it and sometimes something goes wrong, reverting changes..its faster to do a fresh install again.
no more updates. Malwarebytes once in a week is enough to keep the system clean.
Like this is the 3rd time I've been trying to do these updates (separate occasions), only to either take a unnecessary amount of time or having to use my backup. Yeah I get a few done, but there's one that fucks it up.
Thanks for the software, I'll look into it
Hello guise. I just found a Galaxy grand 2 in the bus on the way home. In the google settings i unchecked "remotely locate this device” and “Allow remote lock and erase”, am I save or will the cops get me? (i want to use the phone ofc)
You have to go into Settings - Accounts and delete any accounts there before you decide to do a factory reset/wipe because if you don't when it resets it'll ask for the account info that was on the phone prior to the reset aka Google Factory Reset Protection.
Delete the accounts first then you can do whatever the fuck you want with it.
Since it's a Galaxy Grand 2, it's good for something to throw at bad guys, not much else.
Hey, I'm fairly inexperienced and I'm looking for a career in CS. I am graduating high school in a month and I only know a little visual Basic. I am enrolled at Rutgers Camden for computer science and I would be paying 0$ for tuition because poorfag assistance. I currently work at a grocery market. What does 4chan think I should do during the summer months before college starts and what should I focus on during college for a good job in computer science. Pic unrelated
So I'm like 5 years late to this party, but I just got an e-book reader for free, and I actually like it.
What are some /g/-approved e-books in formats that play well with e-ink readers? In Kindle, epub, mobi, whatever. Preferably not PDF though.
I've found that while it can do PDF, it doesn't work as well as other formats. And Project Gutenberg is filled mostly with old lit., which isn't bad but I'd rather see something /g/-related, whether manuals, history of computing, science fiction, etc.
>I'd rather see something /g/-related
you literally just missed the humble hacking book bundle that had some fairly good books
have a look on the wiki for books that suit your interest or something, it'll mostly be related to programming or administration
How do I make Mumble not sound like shit? The clarity is alright but there is no noise cancelation so its a room full of keyboard spam and chairs squeaking.
It is pretty much sure that phone manufacturers today design their devices so they become slower and more troublesome to use after ~2 years. Is it because of hardware itself or do some proprietary software have something to do with it as well? Would getting rid of most gapps increase my phone's life. I have recently bought an Xperia Z3 and I don't want to be a good goy that will buy a new phone in two years, I want to be able to read ebooks, browse the internet and watch youtube for as long as possible.
Congratulations my Goy friend!
You just did a breakthrough in your life and acknowledged the existence of "planned obsolescence" which has been a business model of multiple companies manufacturing and designing consumer-grade electronics.
>I don't want to be a good goy that will buy a new phone in two years
Start buying used things. Android phones loose their market value like crazy.
I made a small script yesterday that scans /b/ for images that are from public Facebook albums (based on filename).
Had some good fun with it already. A lot of people start threads with something like "dubs and you get nudes", and the OP image is a facebook profile pic. In a few instances, nudes where later dumped.
What other methods exist that could have you accidentally give up your personal information if you're not careful? I can build it in :)
I should point out that i'm not trying to deanonymize people - rather, these people have already deanonymized themselves, they just dont know it - so a PoC script like this would help keep people safe(r)
Oh, twitter - interesting. I know Tumblr images have this format: tumblr_nzfmp9Zfl01v1mw00o1_500
But a full tumblr link would need to look like:
Yesterday I tried to make a facebook fake login page, hosted by Altervista, and as expected, my account has been banned in less than 10 minutes.I googled about it but couldn't find a free host that wouldn't ban me. Do you have any advise?
>Planning on retiring my current PC, leaving it my parents house so I can use it while visiting (I stay for a few days at a time)
>Waiting on Broadwell-E/Pascal
>GTX 580 (current GPU) shits itself and dies
This doesn't change my plans, but now I need a new GPU for what will be my "home away from home" PC. Since I'm going to be building an entirely new system in a few months, I don't want to spend more than $150-200. I haven't really paid much...
