I was checking the price of 4x4GB of DDR2 for my old desktop and the price ranged from $250 to $500. I wonder if some of the motherboards like the z77 will skyrocket in price and will be almost impossible to replace.
Where the hell is DDR2 that expensive? I just checked Craigslist for the stuff and found like a dozen sticks of DDR2 RAM for like $55. Are you looking for the stuff new in packaging? In that case yeah anything discontinued with a demand for it is gonna go up in price and availability drops. Just get an old used computer for cheap and yank the memory out of it.
For what do you need 16 GB? If you really need them buy a new PC that supports at least DDR3. DDR3 workstation modules are cheap as fuck, you can easily get 64 GB on a 2011 platform.
Are windows forms dead?

Good deal for £10?
Sup /g/ I currently have some old Sennheiser HD555s, the wire is messed up in the headband and sound only outputs from one side so I need new headphones.
Last time I asked about headphones, /g/ basically said to buy those (2011), now I want to if the headphone guide has changed in the past few years, what should I get guys?
Retard you don't need new headphones right away. Fucking buy a $5 male 3.5mm solder plug from radio shack and replace the end. THEN if that doesn't work you fan think about replacing.
Fuck sakes, you visit le g but you are not willing to repair.
The wire in the headband is broken you autist, I want new headphones and don't feel like fixing the old ones because I'm not a basement dweller that can't actually afford nice things unlike you. I've had this shit for 5 years, the unmentioned problems are not worth fixing and I'd rather start fresh with a new pair.
Convince me to install Gentoo Linux.
What's the point other than bragging on /g/ ?
Windows Phone is dead
Why does everything touched by Nokia die?
As if it took Nokia to bring Windows phone down.
If anything, despite Nokia itself failing, it kept the inferior crap that is Windows alive a little longer.
Android wins, because even with some idiotic decisions here and there, the Linux kernel is massively better than anything else, and Google is more competent too.
What went wrong, /g/?
Or rather, what didn't go wrong?
They used to have soul.. Zune, Bungie, Vista/7.
Now we have flat everything. Flat UIs and a dead phone division. Only thing succeeding form them is Office and Windows solely because people are forced into using them.
office is legitimately superior to the alternatives, there are things I'd change but nothing else beats it at what it does, excel and onenote in particular.
I too dislike flat design, I support older people and the new style makes it really hard for them to figure out what to click on.
Sup /g/. It's my birthday today. What gadget should I gift myself? I have 100 dollars to spare.
9800 PRO 128MB or 265MB VRAM
1080 8GB VRAM
What will another 10+ years bring?
Ubuntu satanic is outdated. What's a modern OS approved by satanists?
Give me a reason to switch to another Terminal Emu
I just built this box a few days ago, but left out the vidya card and ssd. Currently using old left over spares. I am not sure if I should wait for nvidia 1080 or get a current card.
And I am not sure if I should go Samsung 950 pro or Intel 540 series.

Well, you dont really need 32gb of RAM, it's unneeded and a waste of money. 8GB is sweet spot for gaming and 16gb is good for hardcore rendering, music production, video rendering, etc...
I'd just get a 390x graphics card and OC, id forget 1080 because its going to be expensive (yeah money isn't an issue but who cares, save it anyways.) and prices will decrease around 10%.
What are you working on?
