I'm a senior in computer science and I still have not learned algorithms and data structures as well as dynamic memory allocation in c++. I don't feel like I'll be job ready when I graduate
Not a problem in a typical companies.
Might be a problem for big companies, but they only hire top of the top.
During interviews, a typical companies will ask you what framework you familiar with and how good are you with frameworks that our companies use.
Nobody cares about sorting algorithm, linked-list and whatnot.
Anyone scanning police frequencies using a radio? What's your setup like?
What's the best way to limit a badly programmed game to 60 FPS? Sonic CD is running at double speed on my 120hz monitor.
There's an easy solution for 120->60: Under "Vsync" in nvidia's 3D rendering settings, enable "adaptive (half refresh rate)". Presumably you can use a profile to limit this to just that game.
If you're using AMD then... just do what >>54836698 says.
I have i5 2500k and want to upgrade, what's the best I can get for lower $300s?
For that price you're going to do a sidegrade to a 3570K for a 2 to 5% gain at best at stock speeds and overall slightly worse OC potential.
And that's if we take into account you're not going to change the motherboard to upgrade to a newer socket.
Tips for cable management and overall for setups
pic related, it's my god-like setup of course
BASED NVIDIA CEO JEN HUANG: "WE HAVEN'T LOOKED AT WHAT AMD IS DOING FOR MANY YEARS. WHEN THE GAP IS 9 AND 0, THE GAP IS NOT A PROBLEM."
AMD IS FINISHED
In the market for a new laptop, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I want something between a slim ultrabook, and a phat gaming laptop.
Is this dumb? Should I get one focus, and stick with it? It's mainly gonna be used for school work, but I'd love to be able to use it for my design work, some LAN-games and even game jams.
How are your temps today, /g/?
My CPU always runs pretty toasty anyway
I either need to refit my NH-U12S, fit higher airflow fans or get rid of it
I might even put a fan in my 5.25" bay
not bad considering the ambient and my fan curve.
What would happen if my brain was replaced with a miniature computer that was complex enough to function and act like a normal human brain such as storing all of my memories, personality, and passing the Turing test? The computer has to be placed in a human body with no prior modifications. Would I still be considered human because only a small portion of my body was replaced or would I just be a robot in a six-foot meat-mech because there is a certain part of the human anatomy that must never be replaced or enhanced?
Would you take a IT Job in Saudi Arabia?
I got offered one, $140,000 a year US.
Gotta live in a compound, and I get an extra $8000 a year for car expenses.
Only $3000 a year for flights, but the money is amazing. Only 3 year opportunity.
What do you do?
They didn't mention the fact that Microsoft has already put the GWX bullshit into ``security'' updates for IE.
Ask you're literally retarded questions in this thread. If your lucky you might even get a reply.
Use a search engine first to make sure the answer isn't out there on the interwebz. Use Startpage or Duckduckgo. The rest are fucking botnets.

PROTIP: If you don't get a reply, installing Gentoo will probably solve your problem.
If I boot up arch linux and backup an eMMc with windows and UEFI to a file using 'dd', and then later write it out using 'dd' again to the same eMMc, will it resume working as it did before?
