I think it should be mandatory for every individual out there who browses the internet. I almost feel like some kind of god when I block all that analytics and ad bullshit you'd never know about right at the source, just to enjoy a very pure and clean web experience.
Is there ANY serious downside to using this or similar software?

if you need to buy an aftermarket heatsink.
Is the heat sink fan actually spinning?
Is the heat sink seated properly?
Is there any airflow in your case?
Did you use thermal compound?
Post your favourite textbooks and why you like them
This one is great because it isn't at all dry, introduces you to some important concepts in computational/language theory, and has plenty of easy to follow implementations in C. Most importantly, you start pretty much straight away parsing infix to postfix and then evaluating it in the first hour or so.

I've seen this recommended a lot, never read it.
In my first year we used pic related and I wish I found it when I was in highschool. I tried to learn how computers worked but couldn't find any good resources - this book takes you from transistors to a MIPS processor, each part building on the last. Really easy to read and understand, too.

>if you want to run something as a user, you have to first start it as root and then drop privileges
On what fucking planet is this more secure than just letting users start http servers? Why the fuck are Unix developers so fucking dumb? It's not 1970 anymore, no one uses fucking rsh. setuid is a fucking joke too, there were so many privilege escalation exploits in that heap of shit.
>>55221435
>i want to be able to run a program as any other user without having administrator privileges
>/g/, 2016
You could limit the user to only run the specific commands required to work with Apache, for instance.
It needs root for many things, namely the process probably binds to port 80 and ports under 1000 or something by default require root.
Also, much more priv esc shit in Windows.

I wasn't on my computer for a week and now I come back and things download super slow.
I don't have downspeed capped and I download stuff at my normal speed just fine on steam and stuff.

Please tell me how adding extra metal around a plug, in this case gold-plating it, will somehow improve signal quality
>>55221100
Only if the one put in is gilded too.
>>55221100
Gold does not corrode. Corrosion decreases signal throughput, degrading signal quality. Same reason high throughput PC connectors (SATA etc) are gold plated.
>>55221100
>will somehow improve signal quality
How about you go back to /v/eddit you dumb faggot?
Gold is a very non reactive metal and It will not oxidise which would reduce signal quality.
