what went wrong?
Is TOR still secure or has it been compromised? Tinfoil wearing /cyb/ here. Also, does anyone rent a VPS they would recommend?
No edc thread on /g/?
Hello /g/, 3rd worlder here. The internet in my country is too slow, my internet connection is 256Kb/s, so my download speed is something around 25KB/s. The whole country's connection comes through undersea cables. How can this be fixed? How much does an Internet satellite cost? And how long will it take?
How do I secure erase my disk drive then?
Convince me not to buy one...
I just started considering this today over the thinkpad T550 and the dell XPS 15
>inb4 the thread becomes swarmed with Apple shills and gentoo memes
If you can live with omosex it's actually not a bad choice, the only apple product worth considering in my opinion.
If I had to buy an powerful yet portable notebook I would probably get a Dell Precision M3800 that runs great with Linux.
Because you should buy one next year, when the Skylake processors come out. They'll probably shove out a new version with it that'll have wireless charging and better wireless file transfer. Then the whole "muh one port!!" thing will be a pointless argument.

The only reason LG even sells phones is because of the few sperglord autists that hate samsung for X retarded reason.
What the fuck happened to the GUI, everywhere?
GNOME3 is a nightmare (lel no taskbar), KDE is a genital wart since KDE4, Android and Apple dumbed down as shit, Windows Phone is a contradiction of functionality, even the Windows 7 taskbar is cancer, requiring you to click more.
We already had everything working perfectly, around 2002-2004. Since then, ebola started.
I will dump the images of previous era GUIs. Please tell me, what was wrong with them, and what is better now.
Contributions are welcome.
I also remember when gnome was good. KDE too.
Since betacucks, white knights, SJW, anitadrones and femnazis are on their rise to power im having difficulty finding good tech sites anymore.
Nowadays most sites are biased as fuck
What content-rich tech sites does /g/ recommend?
