The thing that always blows my mind is that Mozilla brings in upwards of $300 million USD a year. Three hundred million dollars. And yet we still think of Firefox as this cute and scrappy open source project, and cut it no end of slack when it comes to major failures. (E10S, AMO approvals backlog, etc).
I just finished building my rig using this bad boy.
I'd like to benchmark it to ensure it's working at peak write speed.
Is there a program I can use to benchmark this? Thanks
Sup g? I bought a camera from a pawnshop, and it came with no cords. Any idea what this cord is? None of my micro usb fit.
Convince me to stop using XP
Step aside, smartshit kids, here's the new Nokia 230:
-has an aluminum case and looks infinitely better than your $600 chinese toys
-only costs $55
-runs Nokia Series 30+, a "dumbphone" OS that doesn't screw with your personal info like lagdroid or iFag
Step aside, newshit faggots, here's the old Nokia 3310
-most parts are easily replacable if broken
-you probably won't be able to break them though
-costs like 10 dollars
-readable and clear monochrome display
I'm trying to do a simple yet idiot thing, I wanted to connect a led to a cell phone charger that outputs 5v dc 0.4a but it does not give any light if the led is connected directly to the transformer, but if I connect to another regular cable with a junction box, it gives out light but overheats like crazy in seconds. Is this overkill? Also why is it only giving light if connected to another wire that is essentially just extending the connection?

Reminder: Functional languages are the only languages worth using.
Reminder: If you aren't using a functional language, you aren't a programmer, just a code monkey.
Reminder: If you try to fight the functional tide, you will be deemed nonfunctional and eventually swept aside.
Reminder: There are only three acceptable programming languages: Haskell, F#, and OCaml. LINQ is also passable if you're a newbie.
Reminder: Go is not a systems language. However, Haskell is.
What are you working on?
Anyway, how do I redirect stdout in a Qt application?
I want the stdout from my program to appear in a text box or some other widget on the form, rather then getting dumped into the terminal that launched the Qt program.
I've googled this but the only thing I can find are vague answers and people using PyQt, which I'm not.
I may sound like such an oldfag that I am but am I the only one that still likes having the file/edit/view menu bar there in things like Firefox, Office (Pic from old ass version obviously), the Windows Explorer, etc?
Why the hate on the File Menu nowadays?
Yeah it's a real shame. There really is nothing wrong with the way it's always been really. I mean if it was obviously a more productive and easier way but I can't see that people actually preferred it when most were used to it being the other way. I never thought people had a hard time learning it either.
real hacking thread
i think my friend is getting this for Christmas .
pic related. i don't know what to tell him .
help me /g/. also he is a gamer.
Not sure where you live or how much shipping is, but microcenter has a 28 inch 4k 60hz Lenovo conference monitor with built in speakers, microphone, and 1080p web cam for 330 bucks. Sure, the speakers kind of suck, but your not going to find good sounding speakers built into a monitor. If all else fails, a cheap set of speakers around 6-10 bucks will work better than most monitor speakers.
Btw, I do have that monitor. If you want the 4k at 60hz, make sure you're using a display port cable.
What could the game plan possibly be?
>Apple has purchased Faceshift, the company responsible for the motion-capture technology used in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
>implying Applel have had a game plan since Jobs died

In your opinion /g/uys what is the best around 200 USD laptop around out there for Black Friday sales?
Fry's had some odd-lease ChinkPad T4X0 on sale for like $217 the other day. They should do a similar price or better tomorrow if they have any left. Those things would thoroughly kick the ass of any dual-core Celeron you'll find at that price point.
