After all the hype I finally ordered a new astromech droid from the jawas. I should've paid more attention to the specs as it won't fit into the standard astromech socket on my starship. Is anyone else pissed that this is the first astromech in a thousand years that is not backwards compatible? Why the fuck do they think this droid is so good that it justifies buying an entirely new ship?

I think the 59FPS has to do with how windows report those framerates? like 59 is actually 59.94 instead of the 59 shown.

i have no idea what those projects are, but guessing from start menu shit, it is some windows crap?
What PMP do you use, /g/? I have a rockboxed Clip Zip, but it doesn't make it through an 8 hour shift at work and I need a music player that can play music for 8-10 hours straight and micro SD support. I'd just use my phone, but it's an M7 and the battery drains insanely fast if I do anything on it.
Just plug the Clip into USB while you're listening, it's not like you're actually going to leave your desk in the next 40 years.
>>51895343
My job involves moving around the entire shift, no desks or nearby outlets to plug into for me.
SanDisk sports clip lasts around 25 hours just add a Mico SD if you don't have enough storage.

Literally nobody said open source was immune to bugs or every bug was found. But be happy we can search the source code ourselves rather than relying on a small group of people who have access to the source code to find it or even patch it at all.
Could you please fix the pile of shit that is 4chan so Google can fetch images from 4chan for reverse image-searching again?
That'd be swell.
Works fine for me :)
Just because your browser is trash doesn't mean that something is broken.

How does one make sure to order the correct memory, if even the manufactures have wrong product pictures and no description of their products?
The case is that I have a notebook with Intel HM55 chipset, which can only take 256Mx8bit memories.
Ordered some memory which turned out to be a 512Mx8bit memory. Had no chance to know beforehand.
It's quite astonishing that something as crucial as that is not somehow denoted.
>>51894595
>crucial
Is this extremely subtle shilling?
>>51894699
No, I am not that smart.
So it was unintended shilling at best.
Anyways, some smartass should answer my question.
In before buy a new notebook herpderp.
>>51894699
crucial (micron) is pretty gud, and they're so beyond the point of needing to shill (just look at how many companies rebrand their shit), that paying neckbeards to post on image boards would be akin to burning money

Hey /g/ have any of you guys successfully installed a after Market cooler on your gpu? Was it difficult? Also is there a after cooler for the gtx 980 ti? Do you think a water cooled gpu will make a difference in temps ?
Also interested in this. I just ordered the Sapphire 290x Tri-X and I heard that it's really loud. Might want to change out the fans.
>>51894336
You can if you want if the noise is that much of a problem. Also read sapphires have some bad cooling Idk I might be wrong about that.
Sure have. Wasn't difficult at all beyond my own retardation. It drops temps by 20c at stock clocks and let me push an eye-watering overclock.
As for water and gpus - either go full block or go home - hybrid cooling is pointless as you still need to air cool the vrms and they need just as much cooling as the gpu core itself (and on certain gpus even more!).
So what does /g/ think about ARM architecture for the prospect of gaming?
Currently x86_64 (or AMD64) has been dominating the gaming scene with amazingly strong hardware and the huge variety of add-on hardware in the form of PCIe cards. We have overlooked the opportunities that ARM presents because the AMD64 has been good enough. AMD64 desktops consume a lot more energy than ARM, but offer higher performance too.
Recently i received an invitation from a friend to download this game on my android phone, i dont usually play games on my phone and prefer my desktop but i felt...
