Hey /g/. I'm a very anxious and cautious person building my first PC. I bought some high end parts; a 4790k, NH-D15 for overclocking, r9 390 (inb4 meme), and 16g RAM.
The problem is that I'm very afraid of fucking up the install. I've read/watched instructional material, but still, I don't trust myself not to fuck it up. I think it has to do with the overall cost, and my unfamiliarity with the process.
Two things worry me most: flimsiness/fragility of materials (i.e. motherboard snapping from too much pressure when pulling down the CPU clamp)...

1. PCBs are made of fibreglass and are really quite tough.
2. Touch something metal before working on parts
3. Handle PCBs by the edges to help reduce risk.
4. Most common way people break things is by dropping them and knocking them off tables.
You don't need four case fans. Use two.
When you plug fans straight into the PSU they get a flat 5 or 12 volts and you can change that.
Don't be retarded and you'll be fine. It's expensive lego.

Will there be some wires that just don't plug into anything? I had a friend who fried his mobo by accidentally plugging in the floppy drive power on an old mobo (his words).
Is it easy to accidentally misthread the CPU when putting the die on the mobo? That's another fear of mine.
And when I apply the thermal paste, it's just a little bit, right? I don't want it dripping over the sides, I figure.

I have 12 G. of ram total. System specs say I'm using up 11 G. of memory. All my programs running, free space, and mapped memory dont even add up to 2 G. let alone 11. Computer is relatively new. Mostly AMD with a Gigabyte motherboard (all compatible). What can I do anons? League and minecraft are being a bit laggy considering I should be playing much better games with no trouble.

A long time ago my GameCube was not reading any games. I found a tutorial on hire to fix it on GameFAQs and it was perfect. I assume YouTube would be a much better resource.

I work at an extremely large and well known corporation. I work in the IT department and sadly am tasked with grunt work being that I was just hired back in November (ie. Deploying laptops, dual monitors, shared desktops, tablets, etc.).
Lately my supervisors have been reporting that in order to up Cyber Security, we'll be getting a fake phishing email once a month so employees can see the dangers of clicking links, opening websites, replying to external users, etc.
My question is, How hard would it be to hack into my own corporation, undetected, from the inside? I'm new to hacking and am still trying to learn but I have an opportunity here and am willing to test my boundaries.

1. The Noctura NH-D15 seems to perform great and is popular. Is this the best air cooler around $100? What would be the max over clock on the i7-6700k I would be able to achieve with decent temps with this cooler?
2. The Phanteks Enthoo Pro Full Tower was a popular choice I saw. I don't care about looks as I do temperatures, is there a similar priced full tower with better air flow?

In reality, airflow is defined by the how many things are blocking the path. This relationship is determined by static pressure vs CFM and it's an inverse relationship.
A more spacious case with thinner grills and larger case fans would obviously have less things blocking the path.
A case that specializes in wire tucking has less things blocking the path.
In reality most cases are rather identical in this aspect so you should just get one you like.
