Hi /g/ richfag here bought a surface book, did I fall for a meme?
>>52586228
yes, but you're rich so it doesn't matter
>>52586240
What's wrong with it?
>>52586228
what's that, your bed? doesn't look very rich.
Why do normies love this company so much?
>>52586197
They produce consistently good shit.
>>52586197
They make some pretty good stuff and they come out with some pretty innovative products from time to time. I prefer Motorola for cell phones because Samsung phones have way too much bloat installed from factory but their other products are bretty good.
>>52586197
Because they buy what's "popular" irregardless of the brand name. Samsung just happens to be popular, in part due to their aggressive advertising.
You have 10 seconds to explain why you wasted your money on a case for your pc

keeps dust out, doesn't look autistic as fuck, can actually SAVE space on a desk/workspace, going up not out.

if the iMac actually had desktop-class components in it would /g/ respect it then?
>>52585932
it has
>>52585976
>mobile gpu, laptop graphics card
yeah nah
>people still use this bloated garbage
It works. At least its not 7zip
>>52585464
I don't. Nearly everyone has switched over to 7zip too.
I still bought a winrar license for like $20 last year just to say thanks to the winrar devs. For years winrar had kept nagging me to pay yet it kept all the features I needed for free. Winrar was a true bro.
Anyone out there run hackintoshes? My main it triple booted with Win7, Ubuntu and Osx 10.11.2.
Used to, but it was too buggy and annoying to keep running. All the software I used minus some niche utilities are available on Windows and Linux, both of which have better hardware support.
>eating shit from your hands
>>52585403
Buggy? I haven had osx installed since I built the damn thing two years ago and on the very rare occasion I use osx everything runs fine.
>>52585377
>Osx
What desktop components are most important to a software developer?

That depends.

>hurr durr implying they work NO BREAKS ON LE NASA BOTNET MAYMAY TRAIN

Use DWS once then never worry about it again.

Don't use latest madvr builds, there are full of bugs!
Kodi is pretty dumb about pixel shaders compared to mpv and maybe madvr but can't be sure since it's closed source.
You should keep mpv with opengl, you can use it as external player in kodi and it should work with almost all addons.
The new plex is awesome and I have absolutely no dropped frames.
What kind of performance is mpv without anything edited?
>stopped playing video games because they're a waste of time

Bloated garbage DE.

What /g/ memes have you fallen for lads?
I bought an SSD a week ago and literally havnt noticed a single thing. $150 down the fucking drain.
Last time I ever listin to /g/ about anything
>>52582255
You have to install it too. Buying it isn't enough.
At my workplace all the laptops are slow as fuck (5 minutes boot time), when you replace the HDD with an SSD, they boot up in 20 seconds.
SSD is probably the only thing on /g/ that isn't a meme
>>52582255
Its because you're a fucking idiot who has no idea what he's talking about if he believes SSDs don't offer an improvement.
