>have a billion distros
>have a million DEs
>wonder why it's not year of the Linux desktop
You know what might work?
>making a new distro
The actual issue is nerds recommending their hobbyist distros and downstream "X with a different DE" distros to newbies, like they actually break less often than fedora or ubuntu (they don't, the nerds just haven't pleb distros enough to know).
>games work fine on Ubuntu
THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH
>make a new distro that actually performs worse than Ubuntu
>wonder why steam machines aren't a thing and Linux gaming isn't taking off
Apparently Firefox is dying. Can somebody explain why?
Thoughts? will it succeed? or will it flop?
When was the last time you used a device that was truly magical?
Post and get toast
So who else is excited for LiFi to start getting implemented?
What do you guys think about TempleOS, or even just Terry Davis in general? HolyC is pretty impressive, if not redundant. But in general, TempleOS is pretty impressive for a single guy's work.
I thought it was a joke at first, but he apparently actually believes that his OS was ordained by god. Dude's a madman who's liberal with his use of the word 'nigger'. Tbh, that last part just makes all of his videos hilarious to watch.

What are you working on /g/?
I'm going to make a CLI program that runs on Arch Linux and Windows 10 with the specific purpose of
-calculating production costs and profits for registered ships, ammunition, and modules in EVE Online
-Forecasting profit margins
-Scheduling shipping and production flows to various stations I plan on staging out of
-Scheduling and tracking Planetary Interaction output, and possible profitable applications for the output in production.
I'm going to write it in D.
Why is it important to you that the Government not spy on your information? Why is it important that corporations not do so? Neither have actually taken money or property away, and have done nothing outside their legal domain.
I've been doing my research and cannot, at the moment, think of a counter argument to not regulating digital privacy. Help me out.
Are you comfortable living in a society where governments know everything about everyone at all times? A society where this government assumes this power in complete secrecy and explicitly lies to oversight committees?
Which is the better card for around $200, the R9 380 or the GTX 960? I frequently hear that the 380 is the better choice, but most benchmarks have both cards tied for all practical purposes (<5fps difference seems irrelevant).
Which is the better choice, /g/? Back up your position with facts, benchmarks, etc. No subjective opinions.
>all day battery life
>solid unibody enclosure
>official machine of Linus Torvalds
>excellent GNU/Linux & BSD support
>runs Windows better than MS Hardware does
How can ThinkPads even compete? Feel free to post your favorite Apple machines and cuck-post below.
Does /g/ like stickers?
