Hey /g/ what are some good resources for learning Swift? I'm looking for a good book/manual, video tutorials, and other online resources. I'm currently watching Bucky's tutorials on Youtube.
Also looking for a good Windows IDE. On my Macbook I use Xcode and AppCode and I was unsure if there was anything particularly good for Windows that lets me emulate iOS for testing.
Any other tips are appreciated.
>>55552669
AppCode has a Windows version but no clue if it has the emulator.

LOL XD KEK ZOZZLE SO FUNNY WELL MEMED
>>55552728
Does it? I was under the impression that AppCode was OS X only. I'll check it out though. Any manuals you recommend?

why didn't you buy S7 Edge /g/?
Because I bought the properly sized regular S7 without the added memes.
Why would I buy a poor man's iPhone 6s plus?
Because I too, like >>55552604, bought the ordinary sized S7, that supports REAL apps.
In the future everything will be in the cloud right?
Everything will be done with accounts.
Windows will be a cloud OS where you run things like Office from the Internet.
You'll have a Netflix account, a Microsoft account, a Facebook account etc. All of this will be running on nonfree closed source software.
As well as visiting nonfree 4chan.org to shitpost you'll be visiting nonfree Microsoft.com to write up an essay/novel or whatever.
The hardware and whatever is running it won't really be relevant since all the software you...

Keep in mind, there are enterprise users which wouldn't want to get EVERYTHING in the cloud. They want to have possibility to work without connection to the Internet.
Also, if something happens with the cloud, you wouldn't be able to do anything.

For the majority Internet access is extremely important.

I don't like storing my data on other peoples hardware.
It's weird to me that everyone seems totally fine with it too. You have no idea what happens to that data or how easy it is to gain access to. See: the fappening.
So lately I have been learning about inheritance, polymorphism and interfaces. I have a question about inheritance that has been bothering me a lot!
Lets say I creat a class named Machine and it has a String property named machineID, I the have a class named Car , which extends from the class Machine.
Now lets say I want to create a constructor for class Car, do I have to place both classes in a package and set the String machineID to protected in order to access it in class Car?
Thank you ~ <3
Pr do I create a duplicate of machineID in class car and make it equal to super.machineID?
You don't need to redeclare machineID; any instance of Car will have a machineID field and can use it if it's protected or public. I think it can't use it if it's private--but I haven't done Java in a while, so why don't you check?
Under the hood, an instance of Car also contains an instance of Machine (this is the same reason you have implicit no-arg constructors; when you instantiate a Car you're also instantiating a Machine)

I'm a guy who tried to make own tabletop roleplaying game in my spare time. But recently I'm tried to learn programming (starting with Java but will learn other languages in the future).
Something strike in my mind that both tabletop gaming designing and programming is somehow similar but the differences is that in tabletop it is not strict like computer.
Both of them use math and statement. Both use randomize number (tabletop typical use dices). Both of them use storing values and so on.
Do you think that tabletop gaming designing and programming is similar enough? Can we take advantage from both world?

fuck off streetguru
Some of the systems in tabletop games do map easily to software (ie: calculating whether or not you hit, how much damage you hit for, etc) due to how specific they are, which is why you have games like Baldur's Gate.

Excuse me for being noob. What is Streetguru? Guru who living on street or something?
what the fuck, grooveshark is back?
Didn't they shutdown because of too many complaints?

Literally just worked out that you can simulate the mouse wheel by holding down 2 fingers on the mousepad and moving up or down
Any other cool shit you discovered accidentally?
And you never tried that on windows bro?
>>55552423
For me it's the side thing, same as windows.
Also, why don't they make these touchpads with the groves anymore? I find it more pleasant to use

There is literally nothing wrong with installing Avira on your computer as a fallback when you inevitably do something stupid.
>>55552328
Correct.
This wasn't worth a thread, though.

Common Sense + Windows Defender + Malwarebytes is all you need senpai.

What about bitdefender? Is avira better?

What are you? A manlet?

Phones are the new jacked up trucks. I'm content with my 3.1" phone. Besides, that piece of shit doesn't have a keyboard and runs Android.

Yes.
And I'm very comfy on my 5 inch phone.
Is there a way to use Snapchat on a PC without using Bluestacks? I've tried 6 different versions, pre-Bluestacks 2, and in all of them Snapchat immediately closes on Log In or Sign Up.
Bluestacks 2 is bloated shit and doesn't work at all. Is there a decent way to run Snapchat?
>>55552259
It needs google play services
>>55552271
Is there a way to emulate or actually run android on PC, perhaps through virtualbox, accurately enough to use Snapchat?

Why do you need snapchat so badlt
Can someone recommend a reverse image search site that actually works.
Yandex
>>55552255
Google works if you turn off the safe search bullshit.
>>55552329
Google has removed so many sites now it's completely worthless for several categories of images.
