>i'm unable to type startx, so i need a retarded login screen
seriously, why are people using that bloatware? i'm pretty sure stallman aren't using them, he's probably using emacs instead of a desktop environment. what's your excuse?
Better potato than autist
ever seen 'vegan meat'? That's shit for people who go vegan just to be trendy but still want their food to at least resemble meat.
Likewise, a lot of people install linux but are not willing to learn how to use it, so they stick to tools that resemble windows like their bloatware desktop environments
>>54673666
Because typing startx did not work as intended on my crunchbang linux drive. Now I'm on fucking lubuntu not giving a shit.
An acquaintance of mine works in a warehouse, and on the side he fuels a quite nasty coke habit. He has come to me with an offer to """obtain""" me a Dell XPS 13 (or a few) for about a quarter of the price they actually sell for.
Is this a meme-machine, or is it worth it considering the price is so good?

Hello,
I have fedora 23 which comes preinstalled with Python 2.7. I have installed Python 3.5 in my /home/user/Documents/ directory which required me to make an alias for the python command.
Whenever I use pip to install python packages, they are automatically installed into the Python 2.7's subdirectories.
How can I change this? Did I goof when I installed Python 3.X into my home/user/Documents directory?
send help
>>54673416
>Did I goof when I installed Python 3.X into my home/user/Documents directory?
Yes. Why not just install it normally?
>>54673475
How? When I type: sudo dnf install python3
I get: Package python3-3.4.3-6.fc23.x86_64 is already installed, skipping.
There is nothing to do.
>>54673567
You have python3.4 already installed. If you need 3.5, you can install it from copr.

Are e-book readers just memers?
No, and stop it, you're making me miss my Kindle Keyboard 3G.
They have a great battery life, the text is crisp and doesn't strain your eyes. If you read often I'd recommend one.
>>54673257
Can you redshift/f.lux them? If not you're killing your melatonin production if you use them to read in bed at night.
What is the point of epub and mobi?
PDF works fine, no?
Also, what is the absolute best epub reader? It can be paid software, I don't care.
As far as I can tell the main thing with epub is that it can scale text to suit different e-readers and different user tastes. PDF doesn't support that. I have several useful PDFs that I just can't read on my kindle because they are designed to be read on A4 and the formatting is locked down.
>>54673240
>PDF doesn't support that.
Huh? I think it does.

>As far as I can tell the main thing with epub is that it can scale text to suit different e-readers and different user tastes.
This
ePub and Mobi have what is called "reflow support" for viewing on arbitrary page size, font size, margins, etc.
Essentially this requires a different set of formatting controls which, instead of locking format to each page, control how it reacts to resizing/repaging.
A well-compiled ePub or Mobi will adapt sensibly to any...

I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as BSD, is in fact, Nothing-werks/BSD, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Nothing-werks plus BSD. BSD is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Nothing-werks system made useful by the Nothing-werks corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the Nothing-werks system every day,...
