If you post, you are entrapped in concept and you prove my point.

Language is light coming directly from the image of the sun's disk, the shaft of sunlight into a darkened room. The words change significantly across the day and depends on the angle of the sun above the horizon, the altitude of the reader above sea level, the season, the geographical location and the amount of water vapor, dust and smoke in the air. This sentence itself is so brilliant that it overwhelms imagination, making all judgments unreliable, but if the noon sun were dimmed sufficiently, it would appear as a pale evening...

Is this "gym" the embodiment of ressentiment? Where would Nietzsche work out?

Transgenders and transsexuals are mentally ill. They have gender dysphoria. Medical "doctors" (I put doctors in quotation marks because doctors are supposed to help people) are telling these people that it's okay to feel this way, and it is, they can't control it. However, the issue is that the are glorifying and promoting gender reassignment and hormone therapy. Compare this to a schizophrenic. If a schizophrenic tells his/her doctor, what they are feeling, seeing, hearing, the doctor will tell...

US Highway 16 (US 16), also called Grand River Avenue for much of its length in the state, was one of the principal pre-Interstate roads in the state of Michigan. Before the creation of the United States Numbered Highway System in 1926, the highway had been designated M-16. The modern route of Grand River Avenue cuts across the Lower Peninsula in a northwest–southeast fashion from near Grand Rapids to Detroit. Before the late 1950s and early 1960s, US 16 followed other roads between Muskegon and Grand Rapids, and then Grand River Avenue through Lansing to Detroit. In the years...

What do you think of new sincerity? Is being genuine the best way to live?
horse masks are not new sincerity
they are faux sincerity
same with adult cartoons like adventure time
they are a secret irony 'you wouldn't expect a grown man to like this but i do!' that people think makes them interesting/cute/quirky
genuine sincerity, yes, it is a good way to live. reading ironic fiction does not however interfere with this. i can live passionately and genuinely while enjoying the very ironic works of barth and pynchon and vonnegut
I have been living a sincere life since I was born.

>horse masks are not new sincerity
>they are faux sincerity

Absolutely this, sincerity comes from a willingness to recognize your own patheticness and suffering not disguising it around manchild pride
Is it strange that no book has ever taken a hold of my imagination and life like Harry Potter has? I'm two years into college, have taken 7 literature classes, am always reading a different book, and nothing has bested Harry Potter for me.
I'm not even baiting; why do I like Harry Potter so much? Is it nostalgia? Is it the feel-good vibe that the story gives off? Is it because I didn't have any friends growing up when I transferred schools?
I know everyone likes to shit on it because it's a literal children's book, but I can't do...

Fuck yeah Dead Souls, Gogol's short stories are fire too.
>"Man reaches the maturity of his reasoning and mental faculties scarcely before he is eight-and-twenty; woman when she is eighteen; but hers is reason of very narrow limitations. This is why women remain children all their lives, for they always see only what is near at hand, cling to the present, take the appearance of a thing for reality, and prefer trifling matters to the most important."
What did he mean by this?

Would you fuck a mermaid?
Like, would you commit to fucking a mermaid if you have no real way of guessing what's going to be down there, but once you commit, you HAVE to fuck whatever it is, even if it's something weird?
ps. thankfully we taught them some useful tricks, one of those half-animals just sealed me a tooth

Shakespeare, duh.
Did Nietzsche actually manage to rebuke Schopenhauer's pessimism, or did he fall short of the mark?
I've been reading the latter's work for years, but bought a couple of Nietzsche's works today; 'Human, All Too Human' and 'Beyond Good and Evil'.

Why are you writing novels and shit while being so young? Don't you realize you'll grow more and fill yourself with experiences and wisdom in the next years and laugh at your young retardness?
if you werent aware lit is full of hyperpretentious idiots who probably feel entitled to become the next big novelist

Because I can only laugh at my young retardness if I wrote something I can laugh at, no?

No. No. In some, but even gender studies try to tune the justice issues down in favor of engagement with hyper-jargonist theory.
How would you characterize postwar sociology in Britain and America? What are its basic assumptions about its functions? Does American sociology depart from or just nuance Parsons' confidence in the field as the alpha-and-omega of the human sciences?
How does the field deal with hermeneutics? What do theoretical sociologists think of the nomothetic-idiographic distinction?
Do theoretical sociologists read anthropological and historical theory? What do sociologists think of historical theory, and practicing historians? Do they know about distinctions within...

I'm going to a poetry slam today. We're allowed to read any poem as long as we acknowledge the author. Give me something good to read. I'm especially interested in lyrics.
