Just saw anywhere. Or be more specific, that is just weak wording.

They joked and quietly laughed together the way they used to when they first met. Before things got formal, before the engage-ment, before they became a symbol. They talked about everything but nothing of substance was produced, just jovial banter. Once they were alone, Fee said to Gallegos: ‘So, tell me, what is art?’ The mood was dead, brutally murdered with that one inno-cent question. It didn’t matter. It was each other’s company they were enjoying, something they hadn’t done in over two years. ‘Art is magic. Art manipulates our minds into a consciousness otherwise unknown. It invokes within us an emotional reaction that cannot be explained.’ The beers were gone and the couple moved on to the flask from Gallegos’ inner-breast pocket. ‘And this art didn’t do that?’ ‘Don’t. C’mon, dots, single brush strokes, vaginas and dicks everywhere. More effort goes into the expla-nation of what it is than the conception of it. And they have the perfect comeback to any negative criticism – you just don’t get it. It’s a brilliant scam.’ She laughed. ‘But it is a reflection of life in a very abstract way.’ No, it isn’t,’ he told her. ‘That’s the scam. This is entire Po-Mo premise, endeavouring to create with grade-school simplicity with convoluted meanings, it’s a joke against the bourgeois.’

The story might be captivating if I were to read more, maybe something that makes it stand out from similar pieces of that genre.
Your basic grammar and sentence structure etc is pretty bad but that's what editors are for (I guess, but at this rate they'd be rewriting most of it)

I would like to buy a Shakespeare bust like pic related or similar (one of good quality).

I have searched Amazon, but their options are not very good. Do any of you guys know from where I could order a Shakespeare Bust for a good price and with reasonable quality?

Is there a shop in Stratford that sells this kind of merchandise?

Postmodern literature for the postmodern heart. It freed art from many archaic constraints.

Why do you guys hate them?

Is it because they're popular now?

I remember when the first season was just about to air, so many people here were saying how good it was and that I should read the book and watch it?

Book 1, 2 and 3 are good. I can't read book 4 and 5, too much plot, not focused enough.
GRRM has set up so much things that aren't related in anyway to each other, and compared to the 1st three books, every plot had repercution on another plot, even Daenerys who was a sea across the other characters

P. good, got me into a lot of shit, like Borges, Debord, PKD, Rimbaud and english romanticism (from the top of my head), not to mention all the good comics shit. Probably one of my favourite writers overall.

Also, one of the few comic writers who has actually brought tears to my eyes (once with Flex, then again with ASS). Has a really interesting view of comic books, and his Supergods book is actually p. good.

His work is spiritually alive and a great example of what comics and graphic novels can be.
>>
One of these days I'll go back and re-read The Invisibles. It was my favorite comic, but I haven't read comics in years. I also remember liking Animal Man, Doom Patrol, and The Filth.

It worked. I am now almost finishing a War and Peace like novel settled in the World War II epoch, with families from Russia, England and even Japan as the main protagonists.

Why would I ever want to write like a hack

>Tolstoy
>A hack

Either trolling or someone who did not read him.

Also: if you like DFW, Pynchon and Gaddis and thinks Tolstoy is a hack you should kill yourself.

probably because you're a hormone-addled angsty teenager who doesn't have a girlfriend, watches too much porn, and has slightly psychopathic tendencies. you'd probably have to have a wank after looking at a piece of cardboard.

Is that book good? It got some pretty great reviews when it came out. I almost picked it up one day then decided to wait.
>>
>>8248257
Not OP, yeah I thought it was good. I was hooked by chapter 4 (and the first 3 are very short). The perspective rotates between three different characters in different time periods, I found one of them much more interesting than the other two but none of them were bad.

I'd say give it a go if you like multi-generational stories.

The final ‘speech’ was wholly unnecessary and made the novella feel very cheap.
