His best comedy by far. He is practically trolling the classical hero by reversing the characters. Akhilleus is a bastard. Hektor is chasing a fool night that makes fun of him. Why is it that a lot of people thinks if something is made under the influence of LSD and other shit its the most deep and experimental and really good shit? I see this in a lot of arts, even here. It sounds like a plus for a writer to have used LSD when he was writing.

Write about anything, especially subjects that interest you.

Have you any passions? Things you like? Anything that interests you? 5 to 10 pages a day is massive, yet most of it is probably crap. That's okay. Write down your thoughts and maybe keep a dream journal for wacky plot ideas and themes. Actively analyse your writing, what makes it good, what sounds good, read it out loud maybe. Read a lot.
So I'm stuck in an airport for the next... 20 hours. Some of that will be used to eat and sleep, but I want to dedicate this time to reading. Which of these should I read (other candidates include Gravity's Rainbow and Nietzche philosophy). I just spent the last couple hours reading The Crying of Lot 49, I kind of feel like writing, but a part of me thinks I should continue reading.

I'd like to talk about Marshall Macluhan's defining of different mediums as hot and cold.
Is his insistence that TV is a cool medium based on an outdated version of what TV was?
If we take his general definition of hot media as that which requires little audience participation and a cool medium as one that requires high audience participation I think TV should be considered right there with film as a generally hot medium.
I think his assertion may be based on the somewhat educational nature of early TV prior to the dominance of either sensationalist...
