This book is genius...... First it makes you see these systems of US and THEM from a distance where it all appears so silly, then as the book goes on you begin to feel the presence of these superpowers just beneath the page the FORCE and COUNTERFORCE and begin to believe in them, suddenly everyone's taking sides - Tchitcherine sees the truth about the Rocket Cartel he's with US! and before you know it -- YOU are playing into the same game, hoping to see THE COUNTERFORCE prevail but wait, what's that ending, the cycle of DEATH continues.. THE ILLUMINATI'S HAND.... so THE FORCE won? NO - there IS NO FORCE or COUNTERFORCE, there is only INDUSTRY and POLITICS and POPULATION and WAR. These are not simple systems we can smash with attrition. It's a much subtler game we're all helping perpetuate without even knowing it. I spend all day trying not to think about suicide. It's tiring. I can only read in small breaks.
Pretty bad. I'm going to fail two mid-terms in the next two days, and consequently a class. My roommate is insane and keeps complaining about smells that don't exist. I keep getting my money in at 70%+ in poker and losing. In addition to my usual problems.

I have recently completed a short story of just under 2,000 words. I have revised and drafted it several times.
I believe this is essentially as far as I can take the story alone.

Pretty awesome guy. Basically showed the US how the government is sniffing their information, all of it, every single time you send and receive data. And this is a good chunk of our federal budget is going towards... baka. We could fund colleges with that, but, no, they've got to stick by their flimsy data mining and collecting procedures to somehow ward off the threat of terrorism.

Hey /lit/, whenever I'm on a long car ride, and someone else is driving, I try to read. I don't usually get carsick, or even motion sick, but reading makes me feel awful after about 20 minutes. I'm always upset because the back seat of a car for 2 hours would be such a great time to read. Is there any solution to this? Do any of you anons share my pain?

This is sorta unrelated, but I didn't know where to post it, so here it is:
I have a really hard time expressing myself through writing. I'm in my senior year of high school, and I've never gotten an A on a written assignment, essay or pretty much anything that requires writing skills. I re-read my mails multiple times before sending them. I'm pretty much incapable of writing stories or anything original. Now, you probably think I'm some sort of an autist, but I have no problem communicating with people verbally. My teachers tell me to read more and practice, but the sad thing is that I do read a lot (~2 books per week) and I practice few times a week, yet I still can't get a decent grade on a fucking high school assignment.
For example, few weeks ago we were writing an essay about "Waiting for Godot." This is one of my favourite plays, I understood it very well and read it multiple times. But when I tried to actually write about it, I just couldn't. I ended up writing a really shallow, meaningless summary of that play and got a C.
What's wrong with me, /lit/? How do I overcome this? Are there any good writing exercises or something like that? Should I just write more until I somehow get better?
Also, I apologize in advance for any grammatical errors that you may find, English is not my first language.
