We all know to start with the Greeks. Well, I finished the Greeks (or at least as much of the Greeks as I care to read: much of Plato and Aristotle, Homer, Hesiod, Sophocles, Aeschylus, Euripides, Herodotus, Thucydides, various Pre-Socratics and Sophists, I'm done with the Greeks for now).
Does anyone have a good guide for getting into Roman literature? I'd like to keep up this momentum by getting into the Romans. Obviously I know the big shit (Vergil, Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, etc.), but outside of that I don't know much about Roman literature/philosophy/history....

You are just now starting to scratch the surface of the Greeks. If you want to be able to understand the Romans, you are going to need to continue with the Greeks for a bit longer.
Don't be so reliant on charts and the likes, do your own research into Roman literature and you can devise your own reading plan with ease.
Pick a narrative history of Rome
Pick some poetry that you want to read
Pick a philosophical work that you want to read
Pick a play
Pick a history
Or just research a bit and read what interests you; not everything has to be ordered

Bookstores: Strand for second-hand browsing. Book Culture for their academic remainders. But honestly, the best book purchasing these days is used through abe and amazon (it pains me to say).
Places to read: Central Park (not giving away my secret spaces though). Butler Library and Avery Library at Columbia. Brooklyn main library isn't bad. For cafe spots, I like Whole Foods on Houston because you can sit for a long time and not be hassled. Also there are plenty of bars with happy hours in the East Village...

JKR has really interesting plotting and moral ambiguity as the series progresses, re-reading them is a whole new experience when you know how the main characters were manipulated in Dumbledore's chessmaster game.

so I'm writing a paper on the history of Pedophilia and the rise of pro-pedophilia discourse since the 1980's. I already shed some light on Foucault's History of Sexuality, Abnormal lectures, and also want to insert Butler's queer theory. But I don't know. I wake up on my bed. I don't remember getting into bed. I don't remember what happened after I saw the corpse. Did I see a corpse? Was I at the cemetery? It feels too real. The dirt on my boots give evidence to this feeling. I'm wearing the same clothes that I left in. Was the corpse a dream, or a hallucination? Part of some blackout that eventually led me here?
