i have, now go back into hiding
Pynchons my fav writer for sure because my fav thing in books is goofs, gags, jokes and rambunctious behavior, and his books are full to the brim of it. Every novel is like one of those novelty snake cans, you open the book & POP you get a face fulla snakes and you fall back cackling. The mad mind, the crack genius, to do it! and then you think hmmm whats he gonna do next, this trickster, and you pick the book back up and BZZZZZZZZZZ you get a shock and Hahahahahah you've been pranked again by the old pynchmeister, that card. "Did that Pynch?" he says, laughing...

Can you recommend something that focuses on cheating, either the act or the aftermath? Or being in love or lusting after/wanting someone that isn't your partner? Anything in that vein really.

Thank you.
I'd be really Interested in anything from the point of view of 'the other guy', the person intruding on the relationship. This is pretty specific, I know.
La Jalousie by Robbe-Grillet. It's mostly an exercise on pushing narrative technique forward for his time standards, but it focuses solely on a man that suspects he's getting cucked, and it's quite thrilling.

The part in the fountainhead where public housing and social welfare is posed as a crutch keeping mankind from its true potential is pretty damning. Also, she didnt really address where her "no charity for anyone" system fits in with the millions upon millions of mentally ill, orphans, individuals with crippling degenerative illnesses, and the infirm aged.
This point is where 20 year old me lost my edge and realized Scandinavian Social Democracy was the best of all worlds.

On what grounds did Aristotle say that deep inside everyone is homosexual?
hello?
On the basis that it's true.

Projection.
Just as the subject says should I get Capitalism and Freedom or The Constition of Liberty. I feel like Hayeck would be a better economist considering his many years of experience. But I want something simple. New reader so take it easy on me if I don't share the same philosophical view.

I wanna get cucked by commissars. Their starved hungry mouths ravage my potatoes ( in this fantasy I also have potatoes) while I watch them and lick an empty plate.

>My life as a rich white kid is so hard: The book
>>8254978
Kind of agree. How can you dispute that fact of the book? But there's still more to it and you know that's true.
>>8254978
Rich white kids can have problems just as much as any other kid.
The lower level problems (getting food etc) are boring as fuck to many people.
What does /lit/ think of PKD? What's his best book? Was he right all along?
>>8254785
I wouldn't call him exactly right. He had some leads, but no idea how deep it goes.
>>8254785

He inspired me to pick up an amphetamine addiction.

A single day in Dublin
it follows Leopold Bloom and Stephen Dedalus
it is notorious for its difficulty, only inspires anger and accusations of Joyce being pretentious in newbies
If you want to read something by Joyce that's more accessible to litn00bs, try Dubliners, a collection of short stories written in relatively simple and clear language
His conclusions are wrong, r-right?

Bookshelf thread.
Just got a new one since the stacks were growing out of control. I have a couple more stacks back home to add on soon. They will probably finish this one off so I need to get one more.
hows it looking, /lit/?
>>8240771
Feels really small tbqh, maybe it's because of the size of the books, but the style looks great m9
I cringe every time I see bookshelf threads. Feels good to have a Kindle, desu.
