How much time should you invest in reading each day to become a buff?

Obviously it depends on how fast you want to become a "buff" and what your definition of a buff is. It seems like your definition is very shallow though judging by your wording.
If you're reading to be an XD book nerd just to know boring facts about books then you're going to burn out pretty quickly. Read at your own pace. Knowledge will come.

You'll get over how "mind blowing" Vonnegut's books are when you start reading actual good literatureSlaughterhouse Five is still pretty decent though

Well, I have read good literature, Catch-22 is my favorite book and I've read and liked most of the recommended list.
But I still love Vonnegut and Terry Pratchett.
I am ready for your hate.
Kind of a trivial topic, but I'm curious to know what you all think about exclamation marks in titles, and the effect they may/may not have?

He's a valid and significant philosopher, why would you even think twice about just picking up some books by him let alone be "scared"

Anyone with an ideology they strongly adhere to, for example a racist, will find relations to and evidence for their world view in most things they read, assuming that's what they'd like to see.

Books 1 through 3 are great futuristic science fiction. Cool interstellar travel, interesting alien species, and a decent story arc. Book 4 feels like he just threw it together, like he wasn't sure where to go, so he gets preachy and philosophical. Definitely worth the read, but the ending May let you down with a "meh".
