I like world because it's more open and exploratory. SMB3's levels are very dense, if you're skilled you can clear multiple obstacles in a single jump and clear the stage in under 30 seconds.
Meanwhile SMW made me feel like I was exploring, well, a world. A lot of that magic is gone now that I've memorized all the secrets, but it was an amazing feeling

The concept was amazing, but the actual execution is not that great. It's an interesting game, but ultimately lacking and kind of boring.

thats weird, i was messing around with C&D speedrunning like a week ago trying to find ways to beat the first couple levels quickly
So I'm trying Gunstar Heroes for the first time... Is this weapon combination, or any with homing I guess, meant to be overpowered as fuck? Or is it just because I'm playing on Normal Mode. So I go up a level for more of a challenge?

The homing laser is too weak to use on expert mode.
I'd recommend the sword instead since it's the strongest and destroys bullets.
Double flame is better for clearing screens tho
Does Final Fantasy VI get better from the beginning? I left off at the part when Terra went unconscious in the caverns in the very beginning of the game & I literally cannot get used to it. This is my first time playing a Final Fantasy game.
I've played Earthbound and Pokemon before, and I really don't like the battle system because your enemies can attack you even if you're not ready.
Are you playing on hardware or are you emulating it?

It's a serious sam clone with KISS characters as protagonists. Mediocre overall which is more than I can say for KISS.

It's hard to pick a favorite level because almost all of them have something neat to offer. I think 4-2, 3-3 and 1-7 are my top three to choose from.
If you are asking for the generally most acclaimed level from the game, I have no idea which one could be that.
