Unfortunately it's game o/vr/ for my handheld. I had pic related. Nice for a little emulation on the fly. It did everything up to Playstation. The only downfall was that it was touch screen. So /vr/ I ask what would be a good replacement? I want something similar, only with actual buttons. I might even get the same one again. Want to test the waters. Have at you.

Get another one with an OTG cable and connect your favorite USB controller to it.
Or if you've got lots of money to toss around, take a look at the Pyra.

that looks cool as fuck
I'm very interested in buying one of these baby's, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Should I gamble with Ebay or maybe find a proxy buyer in Japan? Any advice is appreciated.
Gamble? If you stick with te good ebay sellers you'll be fine.
The AV famicom would probably be a better choice. Unless you just want the original Famicom/mic.
>>3341104
I'm guessing with the AV Fami I don't need converters and such? That might be a better choice.
>>3341110
AV Famicom has AV out which is very nice, Only downside is no controllers with mic. Can use NES controllers though.
Original Famicom has RF only and it's a jap standard which can be a bitch to get working. I'd just AV mod it honestly if I really wanted an original Famicom. Or RGB. (note that the mic still works with RGB mod it just wont send any sound to the TV).
I like them both but only mess with AV Famicoms. Sold all my NES actually and just keep a NESRGB modded AV Famicom now.

Should I play System Shock 1 before playing System Shock 2?
No.
You expect serious responses if you're not even willing to post a proper image?

If any game is linked by story, you should play them in order of release, or else you're a dumbass.
Also for me, SS is the superior game.
Reminder that FF1 sucks - no matter the version - and that saying "it's a classic" doesn't mean shit. You are a shit person misleading people if you recommend this trash. I honestly think this game is poison for introducing virginal JRPG fans, cause if I wasn't a seasoned vet this whole genre would have been turned off to me.

Don't, only good remake is DS IV.
And first three FF are best ones.
if you couldn't even play the GBA/PSP remakes that were meant for geriatric grandmothers you shouldn't be playing video games

They're playable, but that doesn't make them good.
the only fun part about this game was this boss

How did you pronounce Nintendo, /vr/?
>Nehntendo
>Ninetendo
>Kneentendo
>>3340458
Um, I think for most of us, it has always been:
Nin-ten-do.
With the ending "do" as in how you pronounce, dough.
>>3340458
How do you pronounce "glove"?
Glowve
Gluv
Glow vey
neet'n'do
Bonus points if it looks nightmarish to use but is actually comfy as fuck, pic very much related

This controller sucks, the d-pad alone makes me wanna kill myself.
Saturn 3D controller is far superior.
>>3332614
The d-pad is shit
The analog stick is shit (moves too far in all directions)
Shape of the back forces you to curve your hand extremely
The triggers are finger tiring
The cord comes out the bottom
The memory cards require batteries
The D-pad is sharp as fuck and cuts into my thumb. The shoulder buttons are cramped. Only 4 face buttons? Start is inconveniently placed. Why is the cord coming out of the bottom? About the only thing the DC controller did well was having 2 slots for a rumble pack and a memory card at the same time. The VMU was also a neat idea. Too bad it drained batteries quicker than a toilet flush.
>so obsessed with wanting my collection to be perfect

It'd be less expensive to create a time machine and then go back in time to get the games.
>used to be picky about what I pickup
>got a girl pregnant
>oh well family time
>pick whatever up in whatever condition
>we still team up Total Carnage whenever we get the chance
Get laid bro. we meme about the people with collections behind glass containers with shittily thrown together fire hazard lighting all the time but they are really sad in practice.

Poorfag detected. I have a kid and I have a pretty decent collection. Been getting laid since 14 and its never affected my vidya.

Ive been trying to find this... thing. IDK the name of it but i have a vague description. It lookes like a blue N64 Controller, and it has like 50 games on it. To play it you would hook it up to the tv by using a RCA connector and power it directly from the mains. If someone could hep me by finding the name of the product or something, I would be grateful. I remember that one of the games on there was gradius.
It used a menu which would allow you to select a game. I remember it also had some street fighter game in the beginning and some sort of tank game.
If anyone...

What is the earliest implementation of rocket jump as game mechanic (as necessary for progression/secret unlocking or not)?
>>3346648
I believe there's a Secret Exit in Ultimate Doom or Doom 2 that requires you to shoot a rocket at a wall to get over a wall.

Yep E3M6 on Doom...

Came here to post this.
I got a SD2SNES cart today. I think I made a mistake. I already tried some games that I didn't own like Secret of Mana and Megaman X. However, they seem boring for me. (I already played a lot of megaman x on emulators before).
So recommend me some good games.
gunman's proof
Super mad champ
Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War
incidentally, where is the best place to get an SD2SNES? preferably not a chinese one.
How come NINTENDO AND SEGA couldn't make a single good Jurassic Park game?
Well, Nintendo never did any JP game, and Sega did a pretty good arcade game.
The only decent home console JP game was the NES one.
>licensed western videogames
