Never got much of the chance to play Everquest sadly but I fucking LOVE the box art.

Just saw this as part of CNN's 80s series and wanted to share.

I don't get it, am I supposed to be surprised kids don't know how to work a device/game they've never seen before? I imagine kids in the 80s would react the same way when the Atari came out if someone stuck them in a room without explaining how to work it and didn't give them the manual.

This reaction video garbage is the dumbest thing to come out of human civilization.

CNN discovered the kids react meme a little late didn't they?

Does anyone have a pinout for the 315-5960 ASIC used in the Genesis/Megadrive Model 2 (VA4) and Model 3 (VA1)?

Specifically I need to know which pins output RGB - was 35, 36 and 37 on at least some earlier chips - so I can run a shielded cable and bypass the interference-ridden motherboard traces.

PS can anyone tell me what the FUCK is going on in pic related?

I have a SNES RGB cable but for some reason only the left and middle part of the audio work in stereo.

And that one too.

What have you already played? I'm no expert on that subject, but you might as well try the classic falcom games on MSX (Xanadu, the Ys series) as well as the Micro Cabin ones (the Xak series). Most of these might have translations or are already in english. Of course there classics like the Wizardry series on Apple II and PC or the Ultima series on Apple II and Commodore 64 (I've read somewhere that the PC version of the early Ultima episodes aren't that good compared to the other versions though). On Amiga, there are dungeon crawlers like Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder and Captive (gotta love the title tune of that one), as well as the Moon series (and a few Ultima episodes too).
>>
>>3304936
I meant to remove those but I forgot. I copypasted the thread text into Notepad and edited it, but then I wasn't paying attention and copypasted the original one from the Foolz archive.

It's the guy who made the Drag n Derp, it won't be cheap for what it does. I'd expect $150+ minimum, probably more, given that he's already invested several years of time into it.

>>3352097
A few more board revisions, some fine tuning of the software, and negotiating production, we might be seeing it for sale this time next year.

Why is this so expensive when it apparently sold very well? Shouldn't copies be easier to find?
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
What world do you live in where old copies of popular and highly-selling games go for affordable rates on the secondhand market? Because surely it isn't this world.
>>
The PS1 version of VP sold roughly 710,000 copies worldwide, and 636,000 of those were sold in Japan. Which means the total US print run was somewhere around 75,000.

On top of that, it was reprinted at least twice in Japan, under the PSOne Books and Ultimate Hits labels, while the US never got a reprint.

I have a chance to get a working Genesis model 1 with a working Sega CD model 1 for under $60

Is it worth it? Not planning to flip it but I do think I'll try burning some games. Maybe Lunar, Silpheed and Snatcher to start.

Any recs? I like Shmups and RPGs.

Despite having heard a lot of shit about the CD add-on there's plenty of good games for it, just avoid the"full-motion video" ones

As for the Genesis, to name a fev
Gunstar Heroes
Comix Zone
Pulseman
M.U.S.H.A.
Rocket Knight Adventures
Ristar
Strider and Strider Returns
Sanics and Streets of Rage Games

>under 60$
Definitely worth it. An everdrive+SDcard is ~40, and CDs are really cheap these days.

I've sold my retro games but I've regretted it pretty quickly.

I only ever buy the top 10s for each system ,though. I never collect huge heaps of shit I cant play.
>>
In the mid-to-late 90s I sold or traded away many of my games that I had convinced myself I had either outgrew or outplayed. With just a couple of exceptions I've regretted doing that and I've been slowly reacquiring many of those childhood games I once shunned.

I just purchased this mount for my Virtual Boy.
It allows me to use any camera mount/tripod with the Virtual Boy.

The main thing I was looking for was a way to swing it down in front of my eyes or move it so when I'm leaning back in a chair it can be positioned in front of my eyes.

Do you guys have any ideas for how I could mount this on what kind of tripod or stand that's adjustable?
