We celebrate by renting a venue for like 3 days and we hook up 50 CRT TVs and Dreamcasts and plug it 4 controllers to each. Tons of games along with it. We hold a tournament, set Dreamcast stuff, make a cake. Oh man it would be a blast!

I usually buy the game and then use lucky patcher to make a license free version and refund it, guaranteed safe at that point
Also the mobile final fantasies suck

Would you recommend this to someone who enjoyed Yu Yu Hakusho, was OK with Gunstar Heroes, and got bored fast with Guardian Heroes?

Doesnt seem you like Treasure, so no.
You might be best served emulating it (or the PS1 translated version). The game has very, VERY uneven pacing and has that almost Treasure-trademark tendency of too many ideas at once.
I played the game three or so times, as it's short and I was trying to unlock hard mode (because it's too easy once you understand what to do + find the hidden shop at the start of the game), but I gave up and moved on. It's a decent game, imo.

It's a fuckload better than guardian heroes. Make sure you play the saturn version, working designs butchered the PS1 version like they do with everything they touch.
Anybody in here play Marathon? I just finished replaying through the original series again and I'm working on completing the final plank in Rubicon X.
I'm really impressed with how accurately the Rubicon team continued the story of the original series while updating the weaponry/level design

In my experience Marathon threads unfortunately never seem to do very well on /vr/. I'm with you though anon. Marathon and Myth were quite simply Bungie's finest. Marathon is still my favorite classic Sprite-based FPS to this very day.
Have a Security Chief Pharah. I have no idea if it was an intentional reference but it sure made me smile.
Are there any relaxing or "comfy" retro games I should be looking at? I like Recca and Alien Soldier and shit as much as the next guy, but I've been pretty stressed lately and I just want to zone out for a bit.
Any system is fine, and anything with great music is ideal of course.

It was ok. Being able to grab and throw your enemies was an interesting gimmick, but unless that mechanic develops in the later levels, It was an average shooter from what I recall.
Remember that dumb top 10 best and worst games list where Zero Wing made it as the 7th worst game or something? All because of engrish cutscene.
Ok wtf is up with this game. Im playing the story mode on fightcade and I cant even get past the third stage. half the time I just lose to dan, what the fuck is wrong here? Am I just god awful or is this game supposed to be fucking hard?

I remember putting in Mr. Domino and being amazed that I got a slime dude with a domino pattern.
Yeah, played and loved both back in the day. It's a shame they don't have a more mature version of it with a similar mechanic now days. I'd still play it a bit, honestly.
