So, years ago I stumbled upon this Mario Bros. clone, it was for the Tandy or Amiga or Apple II or some shit like that, one of those older machines that fall into /vr/ territory; the game was simply called "Bros".
I cannot for the life of me find any footage because this game is hard as shit to research with its simple name, all I remember is there was one level set almost entirely in the dark and it was a bitch to navigate.

Would this chain of adapters allow me to play my games in HD?
I have my NES, SNES, and arcade plug-n-play plugged into a 3-channel composite connector. If I plugged the composite into a SCART upscaler then converted that to HDMI, would it allow me to easily play my games in HD? And would there be tons of input delay?
Please note that I don't know a thing about how displays work.

What games within the board purview have the most epic final bosses? Why is it so often JRPGs that tend to try to wow you with the final boss? is it due to the game length needing a suitable justification or something?

Hey guys, I've been searching for games with similar setting to Z. I want something with sci-fi, with robots/cybernetics fighting each other, possibly with medieval elements merged in (castles and so on). Preferable genre is TBS/RTS but actually anything would be cool, on both PC and consoles.
I had this old game called 7th Legion and loved it as a child for the setting. Reinstalled it and it fits this aesthetic almost perfectly. It's WH40K inspired in a lot of ways; now I actually wanted to find some retro Warhammer 40K game, but there's only Space Hulk...

There are actually quite a few 40k games some There is Warhammer 40k Chaos Gate where you control a team of ultramarines, Final Liberation is where you play empire vs orks, and rites of war where you actually play as eldar. I havent got a chance to play them all much yet cause I got them on gog recently and have been playing other games I also got on there.

Although it's well documented (and pretty obvious) what the influences were for Rock (Mega Man)'s design, it's less clear for Roll. Astro Boy does have a sister, so the concept comes from there, but her design is radically different. Instead, I propose that it's Penny from Inspector Gadget that serves as the inspiration. Blond hair, blue eyed white girls, with red as the primary color.

Wrong. This thing only cracks the CD player, which was already reverse engineered well enough.
All the cpus, graphics systems, sound system, memory DMA chip, DSP coprocessor etc are still as big of an unknown as they were before.

soup /vr/. i've been wanting a little dos gaming rig for a while now. when i was only 9 or 10 my fondest gaming memories were playing zork, the early ultima games. doom, duke nukem 3d, redneck rampage, day of the tentacle and just so many old awesome games that were actually pretty out dated when i was playing them. dosbox is great but playing it on hardware from that era has its charm.
i recently got an old ibm thinkpad 750e for free and it supports booting into dos mode with a great looking screen in the proper resolutions and a cool little ergonomic keyboard slant...

use the air cans sold almost anywhere to get into the vents.
Sometimes I'll see dust bunnies living inside them, so for the older ones ive had since a kid I have to open them up and clean them out like I do my PC once a month.... including the keyboard (pop the keys out, clean all the dust, crumbs, and animal/human hair collected under the keys)
