I've basically started collecting Super Famicom games, now that I have an SFC. (I'm also collecting PS1 NTSC-J games, but that's for another time)
So far I have these six games, five of which are RPGs. Currently looking for some recommended games; can be basically anything, but being playable without reading much of the Nipponese is somewhat of a boon.
So lads. What do you recommend?

Why would u get rpgs if u cant read nip?
Heres my collection
>>3239860
Literally the only reason was because I wanted them. I'm trying to learn it, but I'm just damn lazy.
I can read kana just fine, but actually interpreting the language......ye nah.
But yeah. Neat stuff. Imma take a note of these ones...

Thanks famalama.
What does M.D.K stand for?
>>3239627
Murder Death Kill
>>3239627
My Dear Knight
Mega Dick Kingdom
Don't you hate it when people write their names on their cartridges?
pic related, just got Punch Out and Mikey is a faggot
>>3239347
I actually kinda like it. Unless it's on the sticker or something.
Bobby, if you're reading this, know that I will find you.
Payback's a bitch, motherfucker.
Most of the time you can get it off with rubbing alcohol
Well I'm about to unleash the raw power of 32 bits for the first time.
If experiencing double the extreme blast processing doesn't blow my television up and kill me, I'll let you know how it went.
Thanks. Forgot I even subscribed to this blog.
+1 to your google+ account m8.
Liking your content.
>>3238740
Well it was really great, let me tell you. Cosmic Carnage has cool sprite scaling, and Admiral Akbar in Star Wars has some kind of Brooklyn accent or something.
>>3238842
Never tried a 32x, but I imagine the experience to be underwhelming
What's with all these people coming out of the woodwork recently to claim this is the best Zelda? Don't get me wrong, its a superb game, but it does nothing better than LttP at all besides having better characters. Not to mention the annoying dialog boxes that put a halt to everything if you grab an acorn or graze a rock without the bracelets equipped.
Who, OP. I want names. Link some posts at least.

Best 2d Zelda.

Can we talk Harvest Moon?
What are the best Harvest Moon games? If they're on non-retro systems like the PS2 game, make sure you also mention how it compares to the retro games and features.
I'm wanting to play some good Harvest Moon but don't know where to start.
Super nintendo version

I like the PS2 version. I also loved the N64 version.

Why does this game possess such mystical qualities, even today?

Name them
BUT FIRST
Why does everyone dislike this game?
It's good but not as good as 2 and that makes people ornery for some reason.
Ignore them. It's a fine game.
I hear the opposite. A lot of people like the game.
But all agree that they should have replaced kiddie with Donkey.
I thought it strayed too far from 1 and 2.
Let's talk about this great game.
I found some old Nintendo Power magazines and I remembered that they had the best map for the Nobilla marketplace and I've never found a better one. So I put the two pages together and made this image. Hopefully it will be useful to someone besides me.
What are your favorite parts? Favorite music? Favorite weapon? Answer one, all, or something else related to the game.
I thought SoE was rather bland overall, especially compared to SoM and SD3.
Gameplay is very one dimensional with only 2 characters, one of which is very basic.
IIRC you can't move or attack diagonally, which is a total pain because the enemies can, and will constantly abuse that, which seems totally unfair.
Also IIRC at some point you get a shield that makes you invicible for the last part of the game...
I love how the game it's praised for its "original story" while it's almost nonexistant. Storytelling consists of "go...

I really enjoyed the soundtrack. I played secret of mana after I played evermore and I thought evermore was superior in almost every way. I didn't have any friends to play co-op with so maybe I didn't get the full experience with mana.

>I also found the environments and musics rather bland
For all of its flaws I'd say the music and environments were the greatest things about the game. If I recall the first part of the game has you start out in a mad scientist's laboratory, then a prehistoric jungle, a cave passage full of sandy sinkholes, a tar pit filled with huge dinosaur bones, some amazon river type crap, then to a volcano filled with retrofitted machinery. And this is all before you travel to the...

is it worth picking up a Sega or PS1 for one that have never owned or really played these systems before?
Or should I just continue exploring the depths of the NES and n64 library.
PS1 definitely.
>>3244925
I have played grand turismo before, I liked it.
Only buy PS1 if its chipped.
Also which Sega you talking about?
boxing games
>inb4 punchout/super
>inb4 ready 2 rumble 1/2
>inb4 thread's over after that beside obscure mentions like prize fighter on sega cd
:^)
The NES used a variant of the MOS 6502 as its CPU
The SNES used a variant of the WDC 65816, the 16bit successor of the MOS 6502. It has a backwards compatibility mode to act as a 6502
So were there ever any accessories that allowed the SNES to play NES games? I know there are modern adapters that allow this through system-on-a-chip tech, but was there anything back in the day? Purposefully choosing a backwards-compatible CPU seems to hint that they at least toyed with the idea of backwards compatibility
No. Something like that would have been a huge deal and it was actually one selling point for Genesis albeit small
>>3244154
dont listen to this guy.
Yes there are some adapters for Nes on Snes but the catch is some popular games either dont work or have graphic glitches, do a google search ive seen some on ebay for $18
foound it its called Retroport its on amazon for $20
