Is this America's favorite videogame?
>Japan is such a miserable country that they have no burgers of their own and can only play virtual simulations of them
>>3192000
I would rather kill myself than eat a burger or most processed foods of today. I'm not miserable. I'm much more happy than your miserable lard-ass.

So I just beat Zelda II. I expected it to be ball-bustingly GnG hard, but it really wasn't that bad. 33 gameovers, I think. I had a great time while playing it, I think it's my favorite Zelda game now. The combat was fun and the game overall felt fresh.
Also, I'm proud to say I beat Shadow Link or Dark Link or whatever the legitimate way(not the pussy way of being against the left wall and thrusting). There is a trick to it, I'll give you a hint.Think about what portion of the triforce you are supposed to be receiving
Nice blog faggot
Nah you're okay. Good for you that you got yourself into 2D platforming ARPGs. They're a good and underappreciated genre. Hit up Faxanadu next then if you can handle that report back.
>>3191461
Faxanadu was pretty easy actually.
Battle of Olympus would be an up in difficulty I'd say. As long as you don't read walkthroughs.
>>3191461
>Nice blog faggot
I-I was just trying to get a Zelda II or Zelda overall discussion started... pls no bully
>Nah you're okay. Good for you that you got yourself into 2D platforming ARPGs. They're a good and underappreciated genre. Hit up Faxanadu next then if you can handle that report back.
Yeah, I've seen some Faxanadu stuff and thought it looked cool. I've got some other games I want to play but that's pretty high...

You call this a raid?
>>3191323
Not retro.
>>3191327
I know. Anything pre-2008 is complete shit. It's all pixels, it's completely unrealistic.
Bonk's love interest is a dragon?
How progressive!
>>3191210
Go back to fucking Tumblr.
It was a different time.
How does Mario leave the castle after destroying the only exit?
>>3190809
He uses the axe to make a hole in the wall.
He didn't destroy the exit, it's probably beyond the screen with the toad.
>>3190813
Who would put an exit in the same room as the prisoner?
Was the title actually a reference to AM?
The hell is AM?
>>3190720
>I Have Not Played The Game But I Must Post
>>3190718
Well, no, it's the bad ending. I mean, it could also be a reference to AM but there is a direct quote of the line in the game. Obviously the idea of powerlessness and ennui is a major theme of the game though, the title can mean a lot of things.

What's his deal anyway?
Kirby just wants to give him the suk

What's your favorite retro developer?
For me it's pic related
>>3190191
No one beats this developer.

Do people actually buy this analogue nt shit? Tbh i would find a real NES more aesthetically pleasing to have in my house. Its 500$+ wew lad
>Tbh
>wew lad
Wrong board, kiddo.
>>3190124
Analogue makes high end stuff.
They have some of the nicest consolized MVS' available.
They are definitely not for everyone. They are high end essentially custom hardware for people who are enthusiasts.
I don't personally care for it, but you know whatever.
Curious as to what the HDMI signal is like
is there anything more satisfying than doing richter speedruns?
1997 btw for the retards
>>3190083
Yes, speedrunning an actual Castlevania game.

are you australia-kun's equally autistic cousin that hates sotn instead of 4?

Did you read the manuals for games back in the day?
What about when you get into a older game nowadays? Do you look at its manual at all?
It's pretty much necessary for a lot of games.
Yes but a lot of the manuels to my old games have been lost :(
It's something I really despise about modern gaming, the decline of game manuals.
>>3189775
I never appreciated manuals, back in the day. Whenever I had a problem in a game, I never thought to look it up. I just played every game with a trial and error mindset.
But when I got older, and everyone stopped putting expansive manuals with their games, I missed them. I read them all the time, now.
Actually, as a kid I could never beat a certain level on this platformer. I can't remember what exactly it was. But, in it, there's a boss battle where you have to shoot projectiles straight up,...

Favorite game developed by psygnosis? Original Shadow of the Beast is getting ported to the PS4 with the remake. Thought /vr/ would like to know. Its definitely one of my favorites, but Colony Wars is my most favorite.
>>3189621
>port
>remake
So which one is it?
Wipeout 3. Though that's also the only Psygnosis game I've played.
>>3189625
The remake has the original as an unlockable mode.
What are the best classic Star Wars video games ranging from the first titles on the Atari 2600 to the PS1 / N64 era?
Here's a little something to get you in the mood.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPMbYFThBxo
My personal picks:
Star Wars: The Arcade Game (5200 version)
Super Star Wars (SNES)
Shadows of the Empire
Star Wars Ep1: Pod Racer (PS1 / N64)
And.....wait for it...Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi.
No trolling. I genuinely enjoyed that game and still have it in my collection.
>>3189578
For me it's Shadows of the Empire.
But nothing will ever beat the Star Wars Trilogy arcade. I freakin' loved that arcade, had all 50 highscores at the local place at some point, people gathered behind me when I was playing to witness the epicness. Seriously, it got to a point where I was ashamed to even put my name in the highscores, I just walked away as soon as I finished.
Star Wars Arcade (32X)
Played the shit out of this growing up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQUWEBhROTc
This is what I played the crap out of as a kid, so I'm going to list it.
Choose wisely.
I'll choose the Color. :^)
I'll take something without a horrible frontlight mod thanks
What the fuck was up with the commercials for the NGPC shooting and receiving lasers through the joystick?
What were some good Wonderswan games that weren't Super Robot Wars or Final Fantasy? Any exclusives worth looking into, untranslated or not?
Games you dreamt of back then and that actually existed.
I would have enjoyed this so much...
>>3189157
What's special about it?
>>3189161
I guess OP really liked Saint Seiya, wanted a game of it, but didn't know that there already was one (probably Japan-exclusive, given the pic) until recently.
Only learned about how great this is due to /vr/ a year or two ago. I always dreamed of a platformer game where you had multiple different characters/creatures with different abilities that would go all a huge map.
