Hey /vr/ what are some fun shooting games like pic related? Stuff I can play or emulate on PC.
I'm also interested in the the top-down kind of shooter, where you get a plane, get power ups, fuck shit up. I don't know the genre name..
And does anyone know of a 2D scrolling game where you would pick one of 3 pilots/get purchase various upgrades and fuck shit up. For the SNES, it was military themed and the pilot colors were red/blue/green.

OK so I'm finally determined to start Wizardry 6, and hopefully move onto 7 and 8. I've read the manual and some of the cluebook but it's quite a bit to take in.
What is a good idiot-proof party to start with, which will hopefully transition well to 7 and 8? I don't really care about min/maxing hardcore or gamebreaking stuff, just want something that will get me through the game and have some fun with the mechanics, without getting too autistic.
Any other tips I should know before starting?
Is the cluebook for cheating bastards?

I was just playing this game recently using daggerfallsetup... WHY CANT I MOVE DIAGONALLY? A few years back i remember being able to press w and a(or s) keys to go diagonal but now I can't for some reason. Help?

I've currently collected 82% of the game's electoons. It's surely a more painful task that in Origins.
Anyone else just playing up to certain sections of this game then restart to play it from the start afterwards?
I don't know about Tomb Raider but that's how I play most of my arcade games.
I don't hate Xen like some people, but when I replay Half-Life 1 I usually stop after I reach the final lambda outpost. I don't even do the "defend the teleporter" bit.

Because there's no inherent conflict between logic and faith. Logic applies to everything for which we have evidence to consider and the unknown is necessarily a matter of faith.
Arcanum wasn't about faith vs logic. It was more about the dualistic nature of "progress".

What the hell is this I'm reading about the Genesis having different revisions and some have horrible sound and some don't?
From what I could find, the best bet is a later revision Model 1?
earlier ones with "High Definition Graphics" written on them are the best ones
later revision Model 1 and earlier revision Model 2 are the worst due to Sega putting in sound filtering that didn't match installed quad amps (there are three different types of quad amps that can be found in these models - one of them doesn't fit well and it sounds HORRIBLE, one fits OK but sounds a bit muffled, and one fits pretty good with just a tiny bit of noise in the background)
later revision Model 2s are fine though, they fixed the problem by then

A good Model 2 is easy to identify too, and they are pretty much as good as a HDG Model 1.

Yes, I know you can "jog", in town, in the expansion , but I hate installing an expansion that introduces major bugs.
