So, let me guess. The Moon Remix thread got deleted because people started bickering overUndertale. Come the fuck on, guys. Can anybody at least tell me if there's any place were updates of the fan translation are being posted? Last thread (well, 2 threads ago I guess) someone said that NeoGaf discussion about it wasn't being updated because the thread was locked, is that true? I used to lurk there and now I don't know were to check for updates. Do the translators have a blog or something? I really want to play that game.
Yeah I figure it was deleted over the same thing. I'm fine with avoiding comparison to said title if everyone else is.
I also haven't played the game, I don't know much about it. I'd like to, though. Can it be played relatively well with simple Japanese knowledge?
God forbid anything come up in a discussion about retro games other than retro games. It was actually a somewhat interesting discussion about morality in video games. Try having that discussion in /v/ without it devolving into people calling each other faggots and Jews.

Fuck off. /vr/ is not "/v/ but for actually talking about video games"
The first 3 episodes of Wolfenstein 3D are playable on the official Wolfenstein website. You have no excuse.
http://3d.wolfenstein.com/game_NA.php
Wolfenstein thread.
Not playable in my country.
>>2822212
I guess that's a pretty good excuse then.
Go to wolfenstein.com and navigate the language/date stuff until you see Play Wolf 3D in the corner then :/
SCHUTZSTAFFEL
Looks better than on CRT.

What do you think about it, /vr/?
That is one ugly controller. Where's the proper dpad? That nub thing looks stupid.
Me and my wife got one and now our sex life has improved dramatically, thanks retron!

What's the point in the whole cart function when you can just load roms on it?
It still pisses me the fuck off that Jenova is the real villain, and not Sephiroth.
>>2819915
It pisses me off that Sephiroth took away so much focus from Shinra.
>>2819915
>spends the entire game sleeping in a crater
>greatest achievement is stabbing a flower girl in the back
The greatest Final Fantasy villain, people.
>>2819915
You'll be pleased to know then, that Sephiroth is the main villain and Jenova has been dead for centuries and is only used as a physical manifestation for Sephiroth.
alright reposting from >>/diy/906420 hopefully this is an appropriate board
Hi guys, I have a pic related in my garage and I'm having trouble trying to set up Stepmania on this Korean Extreme cabinet.
I need a lot of help, but even answering just a few questions will help me a lot.
>>2819154
Being that I'm a stupid idiot who's never built computers and knows nothing about how computer hardware works, I have no idea what to do with these connectors. I connected the PS/2 to USB cable and the VGA cable from the J-PAC, but I'm not sure what else to do with these.
>>2819156
Right now I don't have a new computer or hard drive to put this on yet, so I'm testing it on this Boxor Roxor motherboard (?) that a friend gave me.
What do with this
I still don't know what to do with the other connectors
>>2819157
also, if I do use the boxor roxor, do I need to get an ArcadeVGA still? I mean, I'd think the boxor roxor was initially intended for shitty crt tvs that ran at 15khz anyhow, but I know nothing about technologies lelel
I'll start. I think Sword of Vermilion for Genesis was an unreal time dump, very difficult, and cool fantasy RPG.
Septerra Core for pc? Me and a buddy loved it way back. Double pack with Shogun. Never meet anyone else who played it though. Unreal cyberpunk, fantasy, balls to wall crazy story RPG, extremely difficult without guide, neigh impossible really, worth it.
Still play these on emulator sometimes.
A classic platformer rarely mentioned
What is it?
Graphics sort of remind me of EVO. That game where you were like a fish, then frog, dinosaur, mammal, then man.
I tried playing Septerra Core numerous times and never could arse myself to get through it. Every time I give up because the game bugs me for some reason and I can't pinpoint what. The farthest I got was when I got that sword wielding fag...at least that I remember. It just lacked any charm what so ever.
Shh, the kids are in bed. Let's get WEIRD /vr/.
Pic related is Yellow Brick Road, I just discovered it but it is a Wizard of Oz RPG.
That is weird
The same company made pic related

That sounds fucking amazing.
What was your favorite gaming mag?
For me, it was Game Players.
I loved those people, Bill Donohue was my idol back then.
>>2816786
8 bit era it was Nintendo Power.
during the 16bit era EGM was my favorite.. I was a loser in school so getting my EGM in the mailbox was easily the highlight of my month. Game Players was really great during this era too. remember having the issue in OP.
8bit GamePro
16bit EGM and GameFan
32bit GameFan and Next Generation
64bit R.I.P
Fun Club News -> Nintendo Power + Sega Visions -> EGM -> Internet
Alright /vr/, lets see the best stack you got
The more ridiculous, the better
Original pics only, winner will receive an award!
I'll start us off

Jack is an underrated character, superior to Hannah in everything that matters.

Best move ever?
We have pretty similar tastes.Final Fight and Guardians are among my favorites, third is probably Warriors of Fate. I agree with SoR2 and Ninja Warriors Again too.
I have been playing Alien vs Predator recently, i'm pretty bad at it but i like it, i get a lot of random hits from nowhere though, enemies have tons of priority too.

>Jack is an underrated character, superior to Hannah in everything that matters.
I thought Hannah was shit tier. What does her "item skilled" perk even do?
So I recently got to play this gem from 1988 for this first time in my life, albeit on the 3DS (great version btw). I have to say, it's without the shadow of a doubt the king of all Sega Super Scaler titles. No matter whether it's After Burner II, Space Harrier, Hang-On or OutRun - they all can't touch this.
There were many versions and releases over the years, sadly most of them did not live up to the high standard of the arcade experience thanks to the powerful Sega Y Board Hardware that even gave a 32-bit home console like the Saturn a run for its'...

Correction: That pic is of the Super Deluxe Type. The were 2 more. Seen here.
Spec Page for the SEGA Y BOARD HARDWARE
http://system16.com/hardware.php?id=699
Main CPU : 3 x MC68000 @ 12.5 MHz
Sound CPU : Z80 @ 4 MHz
Sound chip : YM2151 @ 4 MHz & SegaPCM @ 15.625 MHz
Max Colours : 16384 (4bpp - 16 per sprite, which go through a 16->512 indirection table), then selects which 512 color bank to take from 4096. This is used to do colour rotations (the red-yellow rotation of the lava sprites from Galaxy force for instance) without changing the color palette, also allows it to have sprites that rotate colors and sprites that don't on the same screen, and to get different levels of luminosity as well
Sprite Structure : Uses a linked list of sprites (each sprite includes the number of the next one)
Video resoution : 320 x 224
Board composition : CPU board + Video board
Board Features : 3 68K, nicknamed M, X and Y.
You have a sky gradiant, a first sprite layer which plugs into a full-screen rotation (seen in the the power drift/galaxy force screen tilt), then a second sprite layer (outrun type) on top of them which has priority, and they have full sprite zooming and scaling on both sprite planes.
This hardware uses no tiles at all.
Okay boys and girls I bought my first game boy and it is the classic original one. I was hoping you could recommend me some good game boy games? I have tetris and super mario land 2. Also game boy general I guess
>>2813418
Weekly recommend thread!
First tell us what kinds of games you like. Also you fucked up a little on the model. Original Gameboy has the worst screen and Color is when a lot of the truly great games started getting made.
There's still a lot to play, but no reason for an original model other than nostalgia, and nostalgia is idiotic.
Mole Mania and anything with Kirby in it
>>2813428
>nostalgia is idiotic
Not that I disagree, but do you know where you are?
OP can just emulate GBC and GBA games. The original GameBoy has some gems.
Pokémon Yellow
Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge
Castlevania Legends
Kirby's Adventure in Dream Land and Dream Land 2
Metroid II The Return of Samus
I'm playing this and fuck, it's hard and i find this weird since i'm pretty good at Super Mario Maker
Jesus Christ I was just about to post a thread about this game no joke.
About how this game doesn't get any love or nods in new Mario games like going be to this area etc.
Let's also mention it has to me, without a doubt the best theme from ANY Mario game ever.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z856QDHL3-Q
Mario Maker uses the modern jumping physics, even on the older sprites.
You're probably having difficulties with the more archaic physics. It takes time to read apt if you've never played them before.
You'll get it and you'll like it when you finally adapt.
