What are some good wild west retro games that involve cowboys/shootouts/saloons etc.
Also...What was the '80s arcade game where you play as a cowboy on a horse with an octagonal dial gun control, and you have to ride along the side of a train and shoot bad guys? Holy shit that was a fun game.

Man this is one of the few "rare" SNES games i would love to own.
Check it out. I made some cases for my old Game Boy games using Nintendo DS cases.
Don't they look great? It does take a bit of time and money but I find them much better to look at than loose carts.
I can tell you guys how to do it too if you want. Anyone else make cases for their old games?

You have to store the game upside down so that it fits.
Pretty snazzy. Though I imagine it would be a pain if you had a lot of Gameboy games. Tho honestly having a lot of the original boxes is quite impractical just because of how fragile they are. DS cases are made of quite sturdy stuff I must say. Even sturdier then 3DS cases

Sup /vr/, by some stroke of mad luck I have come into possession of these beauties. I've never had a Saturn growing up but always wanted one. I have a bunch of questions that I hope you guys don't mind answering. I've done a some research but I'm still a little lost.
So, first thing's first: I have one US Saturn and one JPN Saturn. They came with one controller and one a/v cable total. I used an apple tv power cord to test them. I'm not sure of the voltage but will it be okay to use long term?

If you play some 3D games, it'll be tough without them.

No. Games play fine with the dpad. 3d stick is just better for the games desined with it in mind.

Was the Neo Geo more powerful than the Saturn at 2D, or were developers just more experienced with the architecture due to how long it lasted?
Why did the PS1 menu have all fucked up, distorted looking colors? For years, I thought there was a problem with my console. I mean, does this look nice to anyone?

The Saturn's bios/CD player was much superior.

Once when I was a kid I was playing PS1 but didn't put the disc onto the spindle all the way or something. I got a completely solid blue screen with "MEMORY CAR" written on it in big letters, like the font that your TV has. Took the disc out and put it back in and it was gone. Anyone see this screen before?

Slow and clunky controls. Any platformer that has delay frames when you jump is automatically garbage.

The pogo stick is inconsistent and buggy at times. Platformers are all about tight and responsive controls. Also, instant enemy respawn is dumb game design in a game like this.

No, I think Pokemon is. Pokemon is such a great JRPG that people don't even realize it's part of the genre, pokemon is the most played JRPG ever made and the most loved.
Panzer Dragoon in general is great though, I was playing Zwei last night and the game is amazing.
