What "bad" games do you enjoy?
pic related, pretty fun if you get used to the controls
This... has potential to turn into a baiting thread, but I genuinely love the japanese and gameboy demake of Quest 64.

He didn't said OP was bait, but that the thread has potential to turn into bait, which is positively true.
Back when I was in the third grade I'd go to this game store where they'd let us test their games.
I remember playing an adventure game, and the only thing that is left in my mind is the ending: the final cutscene, in which they show the main characters on a boat, sailing towards a sunset, right after escaping from a dungeon. I kind of remember fighting against skeletons or something like that.
I'm not sure what the platform was. It was either SNES or PS1.
Is there a thread where I could have that clarified for me? If not, does anyone know what...

I'm so confused! What store had a PS1 on display in 2003, let alone a SNES? Who played all the way through a game IN THE STORE and why do you only remember the ending?? I mean, I saw a guy play through Sonic 1 once in 1992 - also in the store. But that's a completely different beast; I've never...

It's definitely something alright, although if you haven't played the games or have zero appreciation for LA you wouldn't actually care.

This board is populated by teenagers who are fans of emulated console games.
What are some must-play exclusives for this thing? I'm in the mood for action-puzzlers.
TG16 / PC Engine thread.

>action-puzzlers
Heh. Heh heh heh.
I can name a game that is one of the greatest in that genre.
Of any system.
Of all time.
But you're gonna hate it.
Trust me. You will hate it. (At first.)
Because the controls are too damn unique.
But give it enough time to get used to the controls.
Get used to the gameplay because it's hard at first. Don't try to kill all the enemies. THat's not the objective.

I'll bite, which game?
>>3075436
Yeah, what are you talking about?
I recently got Super Street Fighter 2 for the Genesis cart only. It seems odd to me that people would take the game and throw away the plastic cases for Genesis games, while it may be understandable for just cardboard. Anyway, I figure I can get one of those cheap Sega Classics Tommy Lasorda Baseball cases no one ever buys and just print up my own cover for Super Street Fighter 2. Now the original default cover of the US version, is ugly in my opinion, so since it is only for my collection, why not print out a better one. So here is a rough concept I quickly threw together.

OP here again,
Just for those more autistic than I ... yes I am aware the game is not rated E for everyone and the barcode is not the same as the official Genesis release, remember the image here is just a concept (sketch). Also I welcome critiques or suggestions.

what was that cover art site that had like every cover ever?
What are some of the best non-traditional "traditional JRPGS" on the PlayStation?
I was looking at Alundra but it seems to have a bit too much puzzle not enough action.
Brave Fencer Musashi.
>>3074839
Alundra isnt a JRPG
Alundra is an action adventure.
Why was Stanley not in more games? He's a classic video game icon and a hero in his own right.

Probably some hatred from Miyamoto, same reason Pauline, Daisy and even Wario to an extent don't get much love

No one knows or cares about him. Surprised he doesn't even have cameos.

I want to play some good mods for the first Half-Life (multiplayer, single player, etc). Recommend me some, /vr/
They hunger
How about you play a good shooter instead, faggot?
Thoughts about Hexen?
The engine is amazing and the graphics and design are great, but Jesus Christ the levels are a drag. It's a shame because the game has amazing potential.
i always thought it was really meandering and boring. that was neat as a kid because i didn't give a shit about winning, i just wanted to wander around and hit monsters with an axe. but actually sitting down to try and beat it has always felt like a dull chore
>>3073485
I don't think I've ever beaten it without cheating to bump up levels. It's just very time-consuming for all the wrong reasons.
How does 2 fare in this respect?
The good:
>neat engine
>nice graphics and atmosphere
>hub structure is an interesting concept
>cool weapons
>cool lore
The bad:
>not that many weapons
>the levels
>centaurs REEEE
>bullshit enemy placement just to fuck you over

Nice shitpost mane.
In response, Tomb Raider 2, epic game
Tenchu is pretty high on my list, as is Bushido Blade.
Will we ever see anything use these? What could you use them for? Were there any prototypes of unreleased additions?

Holy fuck I absolutely loved this game as a kid.
I still remember the voice of the DM.

So I need help with Chrono Trigger, Google hasn't given me a straight answer
I just finished the Rainbow Shell quest, Melchior is standing by the Shell, and I already got the Sun Stone back from the greedy mayor and put it back in the shrine.
Can I still get Crono's Rainbow Sword or am I just boned?
Dude, you gotta go forward in time to the future and grab the sunstone. Take it back to Melchior who will then give you the Sword.
>>3072221
Yeah, what the other guy said. After getting the sun stone, put it back in the shrine, then go to 2300 AD and go to the sun shrine. You gotta fight a stupid stupid boss, but then you get the fully charged sun stone, which you use to make the rainbow sword.
>>3072445
When I go to the future the only person who can interact with the charged Sun Stone is Lucca.
Haven't had one of these in a while.
Start at NES, and work through in the following order:
NES
SNES
GB/GBC
Megadrive/Genesis
Turbografx16
DOS
NeoGeo
GBA
Commodore 64
Playstation 1
