It'll never be mint or anything, but sometimes I really just like finding stuff in Goodwill.

i found the sims

You know, for all I know that's the game you've always wanted. So congrats.

>It'll never be mint or anything, but sometimes I really just like finding stuff in Goodwill.
Except sometimes it is
Found 3 mint sealed copies of Sonic R for the PC, hell even found a sealed Samba de Amigo
Anyone here do sprite rips? I've been looking for a sheet of the samurai from First Samurai on SNES, but I can't find anything.
Sure I charged 200$ per hour, or 50$ per sprite.

get an emulator with layer disabling and screenshot it, faggaducci

Neat. Maybe I should learn how to do it, sounds lucrative.
>>3207703
I'll give it a shot.
Seeing how expensive Mega Man X2 and X3 are, I looked into the Mega Man X collection disc. Apparently it uses the enhanced Playstation version of X3 which was never released in the US, and a sealed copy only goes for about $12 on eBay. Is it a good way to experience the MMX series? I've heard a lot of people say that it runs in 240p, which would hopefully mean it looks great running on a CRT through component cables.
On a side note, the only games in the series I've played are the original Mega Man X for SNES and Mega Man X4 for PS1.
Not retro.

Ports are allowed.
It's all right. Don't buy it for the extras. Also, don't look too forward to X4-6.
Everytime I think of how I sold X2 and X3 for less than $10 I want to kill myself. I got this collection to ease the pain. It's pretty good, I had no complaints. I played 2 and 3 a ton of times on SNES and I don't remember this one being a bad port. Definitely get it.
Which konsole has the best port of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3?
>>3207523
PS3
Emulated on MAME.
MK Trilogy on N64 was cool.
>>3207586
>Emulated on MAME.
Any particular reason why you haven't killed yourself yet?
So, compact discs are the future, r-r-right?
>Disc rot threads always show the same three photos
It's like showing a picture of 1906 San Francisco to show that earthquakes are on the rise.
>>3207473
Keep your disc's out of moisture, and exposure to lights and you will out live the discs. Eventually all things will turn to dust in the end anyway. So you can only try and preserve things for as long as you possibly can.

first pic haha
So what's the deal with Virtual Hydlide? Is it really as bad as they say? I'm thinking about about getting it for my Saturn.
>>3207323
As bad as who say? If anything, the game is over rated. I like it though.
>>3207357
Just bits I've heard around the Internet. Nothing specific really. I've watched videos on it and it looks pretty crazy, but I'm a sucker for princesses in distress.
The running animation makes your character look like a fucking dork.
That's the most notable part of VH for me.
Welcome to the /vr/ Spitoon. How tough are ya?
I managed to get through the first stage of SMW and only died 9 times.
>>3207243
This one time I told a guy who had an opinion I didn't like to go back to /v/.
>>3207243
I call people 'niggers' 'cucks' and 'liberals' while using a Donald Trump reaction image.
I'm also unironcally a racist, I really do hate niggers and I'm a skinhead (too pussy to join a group tho ;-; )
is Kirby the easiest series ever?
>>3206612
No, Space Channel is
Harder than Sonic.

ITT: /vr/ faps
What pixel (or polygon) vixens got your younger self really going? What was the first game-related you fapped to?
The only thing worth being turned on by video games was my own big breasted ladies I drew in Mario Paint.
I didn't fap to video games until like Dead or Alive 2 desu
>>3206572
This, but 3 instead.
Had a quick browse through the catalog and didn't see a thread for some good boxart or even just your favourite that may be mediocre technically.
Make sure you post the title of the game if it's in a foreign language so people can check it out easily.
Going to dump some of my favorites.
Aside from their titular games, what is the best retro game featuring Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man?
>>3206406
Pacman 2/Hello Pacman. It's more of a point and click game but it's done very well and Pacman's reactions are entertaining. The only downside is that he can also be stubborn so that can get annoying at a first playthrough.
>>3206406
pac-attack
>>3206406
Pretty much every odd Pac-man game out there seems to have a few fans even though most of them weren't very well received. I like Pac-Land which is an old arcade platformer.
Even though it's **NOT RETRO** Pac-man Championship Edition is a maze game like the old ones and it's pretty cool, so that seems worth mentioning.
So I want to get into pic related, I played it like 10 years ago and abandoned it halfway in some sort of misty forest because I couldn't deal any damage to enemies (I didn't know english at the time so it didn't help). I will play it emulated so no manual for me. Can you explain the basics to me in a non-spoilerific way? I don't want to break the game and be über-powerful, just the basic stuff and figure everything else myself.
>>3206361
Great game and one of the PS1 classics.
>>3206361
Good news for you, the manual is in the game itself.
>>3206361
Check out this guide. He gives some good starting advice and strategies. After that just explore and play.

on tape games thread:
im really intrested to hear from anybody who recorded games onto tape from radio transmissioni was just a bit too young as i was born in 1981
kinda regained an enthusiasm for the old things
just been reading about a guy who is restoring old teletext pages from vhs.. the teletext was broadcast almost inpercevable on a tiny bit of empty bandwidth and recorded on the vhs tapes as a barcode on a few unused lines

What are some atari 2600 games like raiders of the lost ark that was a game with an "ending" instead of being a endless high score game?
Haunted House
Porky's
>$50 per issue
Collecting gamefan is painful. Anyone here collect magazines? I've got about 50 Nintendo Power issues, & 30 Electronic Gaming Monthly issues.
I have about 100 magaziness, that I actually bought/stole as a teen. They are in shitty condition now though.
Why is gamefan worth 50$ an issue now?
>>3206057
Gamefan was the best. Loved how they would shit on "Eurotrash" games like James Pond. Nick Rox was GOAT.
Thanks for reminding me Cannon Spike exists.
