Can we talk a bit about this game? I recently bought the 2000 classic version on steam and have been having a ball in both singleplayer and multiplayer with some friends. How does this not get much love nowadays?

Imho it still is the scariest shit ever to come out.
And the atmosphere of the game is 10/10.
Still, the gameplay is unpolished and bugs are disgusting. Wanna take that trophy? too bad, body fell into textures. Also fuck the pred energy recovery system. AvP2 made it better.
The level "design" is utterly abysmal. It's copypasted rooms over copypasted rooms, with the same respawning aliens over and over. Once you get over the whole "oh, aliens everywhere, better say the same old movie quotes over and over", it's not that good. The sequel it's much better in that regard.

I'm not a bad enough dude to do anything right away. But after a while I'd probably call my ninja friend Guy and my girlfriend's father, Zangief.

As for the end of the 2015, is PSP still the best emulation machine considering its quality, price and emulatable platforms? No joints DS3 + phone, please, I need solid device with buttons.
Not retro, fuck off.
No. What are you, fucking stupid? Literally the only thing PSP has going for it is that you probably already have one.

Is it worth owning? There seems to be a decent handful of fun looking exclusives but the small library has me a little wary.
Why not emulate the library and see if it feels worth owning to you?
Besides Afterburner, which is arcade perfect, I can't think of any title which is really that fantastic. At least the Sega CD had a decentlty large library, and some real gems, but the 32x has very little going for it.
I'd look up the titles that interest me on YouTube to see what they're like.
>>2778869
Unless you're a collector, I don't think it's worth owning.
Just bought one of these on impulse. Am i fucked or is this thing alright?

Sd2snes is the only correct decision in my opinion for Snes flashcarts
>>2797046
I hear that that's bar none the best but I aint really got that kinda money ya dig this is like 1/5th the price and I think it can play like 98% of the games (hopefully)
>>2797046
No one but me gives a flying fuck about your opinions.
How far back do you guys personally consider retro?I kinda consider the gameboy advance retro.
Anything past the master system just isnt retro. Once handhelds were born retro gaming died.

Why do you feel that way anon? What changed about the games? Just curious.

Always loved the N64 and GameCube. Perfect number of amazing, quality games that a single person could play during the console's lifetime. Who needs the PS1's library? 1st Party Nintendo = video gaming at its best.
So with Cloud and Final Fantasy VII being talk of the video game town again; let's about about FFVII.
How many times have you beaten the game? Who was your main/most used team? Favorite Enemy Skill? Favorite Summon?
>How many times have you beaten the game?
At least 6.
>Who was your main/most used team?
Cloud, Tifa and Vincent. Who oddly enough became the most important secondary characters later in the series
>Favorite Enemy Skill?
Beta mostly for the noise BRVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
>Favorite Summon?
Hades for coolness and I like the noise he made when he talked/Any Bahamut
>>2795318
>Beaten the game
3 or 4 times.
>most used team
Cloud/Cid/Tifa
>Favorite enemy skill
Laser, gravity based attacks are broken as fuck.
>Favorite summon
Neo Bahamut
>>2795318
>How many times beaten
No shit, at least 12. It was the only game I owned for like 2 years because poverty, and I had nothing else to do beside go to school and play video games.
>main/most used team
Cloud, Tifa, Barret. Also used a lot of Cid and Yuffie.
>Favorite Enemy Skill
Chocobuckle, you goddamned plebs
>Favorite Summon
Hades

Is there a texture pack that contains upside down versions of the original textures so I don't have to do this shit myself?
