There were some nice bits of fluff in some of those guides.
I recall seeing the pic on the left alongside a description of all the power-ups in the game in relation to the part of the suit, and I was dismayed to not find my old copy of it :(

This game rules. I've been trying to no death/default weapon/Fang/good ending run it. Virtual zone boss and final missile boss are problem areas though.

I just bought Monster Hunter 4U for the 3DS... the "instruction manual" was safety information in 3 languages and literally nothing else.
Not sure how much interest is left in these since scanbro fell off the earth, but I have more books to show.

Both games are finally being translated! Apparently these are two of the best Falcom games ever made.
Both games have been hacked so now the script can be placed in the code.

I don't understand Falcom's naming policy. What do Legend of Xanadu Next or Tokyo Xanadu have to do with Dragon Slayer 2: Xanadu?

So talking to a friend today about our backlogs and how strapped we are for time to play games, made me think of when I was younger and was instead time-rich and game poor.
Not a new notion by any means, but which games did you put the burn on back in the day, the games you played to death and then just kept on playing?
For me I remember Shining Force III on Saturn got so many hours of playtime. I got up to the Vandal boss in the haunted house and couldn't get any further on my first playthrough. I re-started the game from the beginning, and managed to finish...

Played the hell out of Rayman 2 on the PC. The game is pretty linear but I still went through trying to get all the lums, cages, and secret level endings. Still my favorite Rayman game in terms of gameplay, story, and aesthetics. Overall really charming. Really felt they nailed this one. I still make an effort to play it through at least once a year. 3 was kind of a let down, but still hoping we'll see any kind of Rayman 4, even if it's not like the 2nd.

Not that one in particular, but in general yes.
It's kinda strange that I would miss something like that, come to think of it.
Miss? I play em all the time but I'm pissed my ps2 disc tray motor is fucking up. Gotta hold it out while I put the next disc in while it desperately tries to snap my ps1 X Files disc. Buying a slim from a buddy for $20 so I'm excited to excise this paranoia for good.

Whose dick do I have to suck to get a translated version of Goemon 3? It has a Zelda-like overworld with quests, objects and characters, so it requires text comprehension more than the other games, but still has all the wacky, colorful creativity and 2D platforming typical of the franchise
OP there's already a thread about games you want to see translated but likely never will.
But this is a Goemon thread so I'm not mad at you.
I wish the good PS1 games in the style of the SNES games would get translated. At least the GBC game is a straight platformer and can be played without problems.
