What ist he best leaked game you've played?
Is anyone still hoping that a game gets leaked and dumped?

Personally I'm hopinh for two GBC games, Tyrannosaurus Tex and Katakis 3D.

http://www.nintendoplayer.com/unreleased/tyrannosaurus-tex/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb886SUrw7U

Hülsbeck recently streamed Katakis 3D for an hour or more. Game seems to be completed and working fine. Pls, Hülsbeck, dump it for me.

Nightmare Busters is pretty fun. Though apparently nowadays the original creators are selling it.
>>

Its also not retro so it has no bearing here.
>>
>>2786465
Actually the original publisher, Nichibutzu apparently didn't have much hand in it.
>unfinished game, leaked before reproduction started
>not retro
You might be more of a faggot than the faggot who got it wrong.

What is the right way and most 'complete' way to play a doom episode?

- Finish front to back on ultra-violence, no saves.
- Play each ultra-violence map individually, from beginning, starting only with the pistol. Save each map on completion.
- Ultra-violence, 100% secrets, 100% kills, hit par time etc.
- Play the whole fucking thing on Nightmare and never save.

I know it sounds picky, I just wondered what other doomers think about playing and what they consider as really 'completing' a Doom 1 episode. I'm trying out episode 2 and the difficulty is quite surprising (and welcome) Personally I don't care about kills or secrets, just reaching the end is enough.

Also I know it deeply depends map to map, but what general tips are best for nightmare? I can get to level 3 on episode 1 and get my ass kicked every single time. I try to just blast my way through and maneover myself to cause as much infighting as possible but the enemies are just too damn hard.

Complete all the levels, the other details don't really matter unless you're attempting a new speedrun record. Saving mid level is widely frowned upon
I'm not good enough to give you tips for Nightmare
>>
Play it beginning to end on Hurt me Plenty or Ultra Violence, saving after each map.

I give myself some leeway to savescum if the level I'm playing has some bullshit segment like a giant mob of Revenants.

Hammerlock Wrestling gets my vote. Holy shit I'll admit that some herbals were smoked beforehand, but I can't stop laughing at the animation in this game while fighting. Highly recommended.

I have a bunch of stuff, I'll only post the retro itt to conform to rules but my full trading pool (including stuff I'm looking for) is here:

>spreadsheets/d/1Duiucc0FeabI9Npq3t1xR0QL0qRjNTrEDQlsBj-AVV0/edit#gid=1287513496

I'm really only interested in trades, maybe cash for some of the bigger things. I'll dump pictures after this post.

PS1
>Silent Hill black label CIB great condition
>Grandia black label missing manual good condition
>Xenogears black label missing manual good condition

Neo Geo MVS

Not totally sold on getting rid of the Genesis stuff but I've never really played with it since I got it, I just never really cared for Genesis.

>CDX Console with hookups. 1 3 button and 1 six button controller, black leather carrying case (not parting out, this is all together)

These are all cart only but I have UGC for them all. Only label thats a bit rough is altered beast.

>Castlevania: Bloodlines
>Contra: Hard Corps
>Gunstar Heroes
>Hellfire
>Kid Chameleon
>Landstalker
>Rocket Knight Adventures
>Sega-CD CD Backup Ram Cart x 2

>Vectorman
>Vectorman 2

I'm in Canada so I know international shipping can be expensive but I'm willing to ship to anywhere in Canada and the USA. Further out is going to absolutely be a case by case basis.

Anyone know a way to open Nes carts without the specific screw bit?

hacksaw
>>
But seriously, get the necessary screw-bit, that's how they're put together and that's how they're disassembled.
>>
>>2808065
You'll need a 3.8mm security bit screwdriver. The cart was designed that way, no short cuts. If you don't care about condition, throw it against the wall a few times, you might have to pay to patch the wall up though. NES carts are tough.

Literally how the fuck are you supposed to get good at this game?

I have literally 5 scouts facing the same fucking direction, all set on auto fire, and NONE OF THEM perform a reaction shot on a fucking alien that pops out, staring right at them, all while having 60+ reactions.

what a load of fucking horseshit. please tell me this game gets better.

It dont
>>
0. openxcom
1. break line-of-sight and get behind a wall if you can, or drop a primed smoke grenade
2. aimed shots should be used, no auto shots unless you're at or above 100 firing accuracy
3. if you find your first mission with cyberdiscs just abort the mission with all soldiers inside

protip about reactions:
1. Autoshot isn't used, SNAPSHOT is.
2. Current TU divided by Maximum TU, and that number is then multiplied by (reactions / 100). That's your actual chance to reaction fire.

67/80 TU = 0.83
70 reactions / 100 = 0.7
0.83*0.7 = 0.58% to reaction fire... assuming reaction fire costs equal to or less than 67 TU.
>>
>>2806647
> 0.58%
that is, rather, 58% chance to reaction fire.

Phantasy Star IV

I just marathoned the first level of Half Life and I honestly don't get why it was so famous back in the day. Does it get better?
28 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
I'm going to assume you meant chapter, not level (map)

It stays about the same, give it another chapter.

It had lots of very fun set pieces and was the first a lot of players had to experience them. Running up to an artillery piece or heavy machine gun and actually being able to use it. Seeing a vent and actually being able to crawl inside it.

Mod community was also huge. Several modern full fledged companies got their start modding HL. When you were done playing the game, there was a bunch of extra levels available on PC Gamer CDs or off the internet, and lots of great multiplayer mods.
>>
>>2806192
Depends, what 'first level'?

The reason it was so famous is because it looked great and played unlike what had been typical for FPSes since Doom. I remember the level of graphical realism adding a lot to the fun of the weapons, combat and especially level exploration.
>>
It's insanely overrated, but it's not bad by any stretch of the imagination.

Well, except for the ending levels. Fuck those.

What do you think about this website and the "service" it offers?

I mean, I literally just found this and created an account and I think those could be used as a sort of "new challenge" for some games.

Currently replaying Mega Man X.

What are your opinions /vr/? I don't know if this topic has already been discussed here.
